I purchased a 7100 and the built-in light meter simply disappeared, it's not working and display anything, no one indicator value... does anyone know what happened?
How do you like the lens?
I actually never used this lens. I sold it as part of an estate sale along with that Nikon f4
Mine has very blurry vague split image in RF fucusing zone. is it easy for expirienced repair shop to fix?
How do you take a picture with this? I can't figure it out
Hey! How do you focus on the skoparon? I have the prominent with that particular 3.5 lens but i don't know how to use it... i see that there is a ring to be turned with the distances and a minimum of 0.7 meters, but where do i have to put the distance in correspondence of? There is a small arrow in the middle of the lens, i guess it's that
I’m sorry, but I don’t remember. I only had access to this camera for a couple weeks. I made the video to go along with an auction to demonstrate that it was in working order, but I never owned the camera or spent much time with it.
Awesome! U still using your F2?
I actually sold it on eBay.
x= 1/40 second!
looks like there's at least one bubble in the back lens element.
Hello, can you demonstrate how to open the lense? Thank you
Unfortunately I do not have this camera any longer.
I just bought this same model this weekend. At 2:57 in the video, it appears that the shutter is set to timer mode, the green dot (V) on the bottom of the lens. The red (X) and yellow (M) are for either electronic flash, or bulb flash. You should set the lens to either the red or yellow. The rest of the setup looks good. 1. Advanced the teeth that are hooked into the sprockets of the film, 2. Cock the shutter by lifting the bar near the shutter speed markings, 3. take the picture. I hope this is helpful.
great video! i cant believe this doesnt have more views. your video was the most informational ive found. I got my zeis ikon at a thrift store for $8 and everything seems to be working fine according to your video
Same here, I found one for $30 at an estate sale
When I bought my Nikon F2AS a few days ago I was expecting much more viewfinder information. This video shows me that I was wrong to expect so much. Thanks for posting - this is the only vid I've found with this information.
One of the most difficult videos I've ever had to endure. Superb cameras. Exasperating video.
I only made these videos to accompany eBay auctions, so potential buyers could see that the cameras were functioning. These videos were never really meant to be watched for any other reason. The auction ended like 2 years ago 😂
That’s an original sticker that belongs there. It’s letting you know what settings you must use to check the battery.
How much did you buy it for
I actually didn’t buy it. I sold it as part of a collection in an estate sale. It sold for $142.50.
It's funny, but I've the s/n 58172 !
And it fire electronic flash?
It does have a cold shoe mount for a self-powered electric flash, yes.
how to use flash?
I never used a flash with this camera. I believe it takes a cold shoe flash that connects to the camera through a shoe sync cord
did you manage to solve the shutter issue, as I am having the same struggle
in Europe it's Nikon F50
This is the set of my dream! Consider yourself envied ;) Thanks for showing us your marvel
Is it proper exposure when the needle is placed between the peaks?
Yes. That is correct.
What a beautiful one
Wow that's a mint Canon!
Guess most people will not know for what 100, 50, 35 are :)
what a luck 😂
I still have mine from the 1970s. It delivers really well. Lovely bokey and colour rendition.
Do you have any sugestions please
I cant open the bottom to put batteries in
I always use a quarter or the edge of a round key. If that doesn't work though, I'm not sure what will.
Cool camera! I have one too
I have this camera and even though I’ve swapped out the batteries nothing happens when I press the red button... how do I find out what’s wrong?
You have to use the lever to advance the film AND you need to make sure that the film sprocket has moved forward. This camera is designed to prevent double exposure so the shutter is basically locked until the sprocket is moved forward. That happens automatically when there is film loaded in it but if there's no film in it you have to trick the camera by moving the sprocket forward. In this video I demonstrate that at around 3:30.
@@GuidoLikesPigs Thank you for your reply! I will try that!
Given this video is 6 months old, I'm sure I'm way too late.... but what are the odds this xe-7 is still available?
This camera did end up selling through an auction on eBay.
Are you selling it? How much is it ?
This camera sold on eBay shortly after I posted this video.
How much are you asking for the camera?
This camera sold on eBay shortly after I posted this video.
@@GuidoLikesPigs how much did it sell for? I’m looking to sell a canon IV with lens
@@marccarlin1 This one sold for a little over $100. Without the lens, though.
@@GuidoLikesPigs thanks very much
Thanks for the review, I have the P, it's my favorite camera.
Did you get the flashlight from Bell & Howell? I have this model as my Works OK along with my Canon 7, and my Contax II, and III Models, and this video will been fine if you do LESS Sliding the camera on the Counter top that you treating it like a plate of Stale Cheese.. And which Viewfinder Zoom setting did you had it on? You could if use your finger at the focusing cam, and use that instead to show the RF window matching the distance.
shutter wrinkles/dents rarely ever affect functionality. This is a really nice specimen. Edit: Example? Specimen sounded okay in my head but looks weird. meh.
Price?
This camera sold in an ebay auction for $1,144.78
@@GuidoLikesPigs lucky guy!
@@GuidoLikesPigs too cheap , i sold it on fb One in better shape for 4500 euro
Your vid was actually awesome! I've been trying to search for a RUclips vid that informs the topics in this video. 🩺 🩺Your lesson for sure reminds me of the vids of this informative med student Dr Ethan. Did you sell this baby? How much did you fetch if I might ask?
Yes, this camera sold in auction for $202.50.
Sorry if you mentioned this but where are you selling these cameras? Online, in-person...?

Berapa tuh om?
That was a good little video on your Nikon F4. What I do like about the F4 is the fact that all settings are done with a dial and if you wanted you can fit a SB-21 which turns it into a F4S and 5.7fps. The F4 is a very desirable film camera and the value of this camera is continually rising. How long have you had your F4?
This camera was actually part of one of my friend's father's collection. I got the chance to use it though and it really is a great camera!
where is this listed for sale?
It is for sale on eBay. www.ebay.com/itm/333780902649
I purchased this camera and just received it. It is in very good shape and will probably still be working long after I'm gone!
Is this a digital or analogue f1
It is analog
he said DSLR at the beginning but it is an SLR.
