What a powerful story that you shared with us. I used to live and work in New York City and made 6 figure income self employed. I am a former employee of Yelp actually I was rehired by them in February of 2024. I hit quota for my first two months and then they moved me to Franchise sales then because I was not hitting my numbers, they put me on the Plan. I had relocated from New York to Florida so they knew I was going through a tough transition. I was let go August 1st. I am focused on rebuilding my future. I understand all the pain and anguish you went through. This position can cause a lot of anxiety and stress. Your story will inspire many young people. The grass is greener on the other side when you water it. You made your plan and proud of you for stepping into your purpose.

Glad someone agrees! My husband tried to get me to watch this 4 times and I fell asleep each time. Keep in mind I’m easily entertained! 😅 And this is probably an unpopular opinion, but I didn’t find Timothée and Zendaya particularly convincing in those roles, especially in terms of their looks. Additionally, Zendaya’s ‘bored college student’ tone feels repetitive to me. While I admire her as a celebrity, I find her more compelling in roles where she plays younger characters

Wished I found this sooner, only two weeks in and I’m thinking of quitting. The amount of anxiety I’ve had this past week with calling is unbelievable. I also feel gross about constantly calling small business owners who genuinely don’t want yelp ads. Sucks that my first sales job was yelp 😅 currently trying to find a new job that’s not as stressful as yelp.

Dang man thanks for your story. I actually have an interview this Tuesday for a sales role. Honestly, I'm not that happy since I already did so many reviews/research on the position. Honestly, it sucks because I feel like Yelp itself seems like a great place to work with good benefits and remote flexibility. But sales, cold calling? Man I understand if they're new leads, but people that have been reached out/stopped working with Yelp is just annoying to hear. In my opinion I feel like that's damaging Yelp more than helping. I currently work part time as a Barista and compared to other cafes near ATL I don't make that much. Been unemployed full time for almost 2 years, my previous job was also customer service but I couldn't take that due to lack of training/product information. I know recruiting is similar to sales but I feel like recruiting is definitely a lot better. You're calling people who were in your shoes before, everyone needs a job and will take any help they can get. Sales for a product... idk thats a bit different. Anyways, unfortunately If I land the role I might just take it. Beggars cant be choosers... maybe ill try it for like 3 months and transfer to a different role or company.

I work for an auto manufacturing plant and strongly want to leave this industry, bc of the work-life imbalance, so I wanted to get a job working from home. After what seems like hundreds of applications, Yelp accepted me. My interview with Yelp is tomorrow. But, what I didn't know, until their email confirmation to schedule the interview, is that it involves "cold calling". For me that is a deal breaker, bc, basically, I have moral standards and don't want to jump from one stressful job to another. I just want a well paid remote job that doesn't involve harassing people. Plus, my research has revealed too many bad reviews regarding working for Yelp... ironically! Thanks for making this video!

Dude I left the exact same job and I swear I felt like a new person. Even crazier is it was remote and still miserable. I hated weekends because all I could think about was going to work Monday and how much I hated it. I got a job as a literal busser at a brunch spot and I have never felt healthier. Do I like love my job? No. Is it better than Yelp “Inside Sales”… Yes.

current workin here! struggling, i cant recommend it, but im definitely thankful this is a remote role & that it teaches us sales. yelp took me in as a fresh grad, and in this market… im happy i got a job, esp since i needed this. the everyday job and quota is VERY stressful. i might get plan’d out soon if i dont get more sales. only 2 of us remain from my original 14 member team. really puts things into perspective. thanks for sharing your experience davonte!

This is so ironic because I got laid off from my cushiony tech job a few months ago and have had a hard time finding another job. One of my friends works at Yelp in a sales role and got me an interview super quickly. However, I have already received a job offer to teach English in Shanghai so my options are either work at Yelp and stay in the US or move to China and teach English there. Your video has definitely helped me make my decision! I'm not hearing great things about Yelp. Thanks for sharing!

Just watched it and I do not understand how this movie was so bad. Looking for answers. The scene were the black girl was killed was so so bad. One scene the film sets her up to be a bad ass with a cool one liner about living in the desert, then the very next scene shes about to ride a worm and gets stabbed in the back randomly. It doesn't make sense on any level. Actually torture to sit through.

Nice review. This was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. So incredibly boring, frustrating, and pretentious. I couldn't wait to leave the theatre. As long as people praise this crap Hollywood will remain superficial.

I'm VERY particular about my hair. I lived in Hannam Village way back in 2001-03. The look for men... fades. My sons and former spouse were good to go. Whether I was at the Dragon Hill Lodge or Itaewon, my hair was in the best shape. I was shocked at the expertise (and speed) of the braiding... It was one of the most pleasant surprises while our family lived on the RoK.

Made it 1 hour in and was done... Honestly thought the movie was almost over only to realize there's 1 hour 30 minutes left. When I watched the movie "Joker" it angered me the movie ended.

I feel the same, they feel like they meant each song as they wanted to, no label were threatening them to sound in a way... what people notice about the mixing has to do more with the lack of the rest of the band prescence in other records.... for real in The Open Door and Fallen, her vocals were the main focus, without a bassist, without a drummer, they had a guy to come to fill in the studio parts, so in those records those stuff are kinda lifeless, no great drum fills nor stand out bass lines at all, since the selftitled album they improved it, but yet som of her vocals were the main focus and some strings and guitar lead parts were almost muted in that one, then they did Synthesis which was all high quality strings, expensive real piano and great microphones, so people were not knowing what to expect with TBT and they had a lot of emotions towards it, some name it too heavy, some feel more ballads were needed, others wanted them to go more electronic, others say it was not heavy enough I mean.... the end of it all is that everyone has their own way of thinking how Ev should sound, and when their expectations aren't it a lot of ppl tend to dislike it and say it's bad, when it's not. But this has happend after each time they release anything, truth is they DO have a lot of different type of songs but that's what is magical about them... but in TBT they sound as if there were no chains, the band was way more present, bass is exquisite in some of these new songs, so in some songs people feel Amy's voice is unlistenable and it really isn't... yeah I get how some people want Amy to shine among everything like in Fallen or TOD, but back then those albums were made by 2 people, and the 3rd and 4th album (By 4th I mean TBT) are made by a real band, they really became a band once Tim, Troy and Will joined the band. And they should be as present as they are in TBT after all these years, Amy knows the reason Ev exist is also due to these guys having her back through it all, and that's what I listen in TBT... the best songs came out from them while being in pandemic once they reunited (Amy, Tim, troy, will and their producer) they all went to lockdown together to finish down the album after months apart, and all these amazing songs came out from them together, we have Evanescence for a lot of years knowing they are capable of sounding this good after all these years.

Update: Hey y'all! So I've listened to the bitter truth and absolutely love it!! Idk if I'll do an update video, but just wanted to say that. My favs are pretty much all of it, special shout out to The Game is Over, Feeding this Dark, Part of Me and Blind Belief!

I heard one of the songs from Fallen many years ago, its called Haunted I heard it in a old Thomas Trainz trailer. Its one of those songs that you've come across accidentally sometimes as a little kid, but I didn't get into it until maybe last year's Halloween. Bring Me To Life was in a FNAF sfm animation. Going Under was a part of the Elm Street 2010 reboot clips video.
