If the $100 jacket is the Toyota, that's good enough for me. Toyota is one of the most reliable cars there is. No shame in driving Toyota nor wearing the Toyota of the suits.

You remind me so much of the guy I buy from in Montreal. He’s Italian-Canadian, has a great relationship with manufacturers, talks with the same enthusiasm and his clothes are beautiful. Everything I buy is made to measure in Montreal. First guy who has made me a suit to my style. I put on his sample suit and started going over things I didn’t like, lapels were too narrow, arm holes needed to be higher, wanted side adjusters and a ticket pocket. It came in and he was like “this is your style!” Ordered another one in flannel and he told me to keep it the same as he loved the design. So we kept it the same. That’s why guys like you and him are successful, you take your designs and work with the customer. Many of these guys want to fit you into clothes they like not ones you do. You can tell Matt LeBlanc felt the exact same way I did.

jeans and shirt , i never spend over 20 , i look at them as idems for 2-3 years , and spending 20 vs 100 on shirt or jeans don t see the difference , but for winter coat or shoes , i may spend bit more ,100-200 since one the need to keep me warm ,, and good coat may last you for 10-20 years , winter shoes need to resist rain and cold , with 200 you can get nice pair of boots ,
