the impression is that Soderling was not at all bothered by the high bouncing balls from Nadal, neither on the forehand nor on the backhand, he was able comfortably to smash them.....I think this was the key to upset Nadal on clay. The height. 6.4ft, does not explain all, for some reason he was really comfortable to jump on those high balls producing great power, truly impressive.
Quelle puissance !!
I badly wanted to see this match highlights & thanks to the person who posted it. May be this would be the greatest upset or miracle in men's tennis ever.
You're welcome 🤗
Superbe qualité d image 😂
nadal was sick
that is a pathetic excuse, he was perfectly healthy
Incroyable
Nadal shouldn't have played this tournament so sorry for him
This match was legendary top 5 for sure
They hated each other back then but they’re actually on good terms now
I always wanted a video of this game.
Hard to find Nadal loses on internet... im wondering why :) ?
Looks like Fuentes 's Magic did not operate this very day vs the sweede....proper ass whooping there...Soderling won fair and square and I'm pretty sure Dopalito was a sore loser once again blaming who knows what fake injury...Rafa was to Tennis what Armstrong was to cycling exept the spaniard never went on Oprah to confess (what's what it took cause Armstrong always came clean on hundreds of drug tests).
veri low quality am reporting for copyright.
u idiot, this is gold
Jugo lesionado
Nadal spoke badly on an interview about Soderling. The swedish did not answer him. He answered in the court and caused the spaniard one of his more painful losses in his "realm".
Nadal was a jerk back then . He hads feuds with Soderling and Berdych but I think Djokovic humbled him in 2011 season and Federer eventually too in 2017
I think Nadal could allow himself 1 defeat in 10 years here (2005-2008, 2010-2014)
@@farhatkaboudi44 exactly.Nadal was one of biggest snakes on tour and its sad how many people do not realise that.I can tell you now 20 reasons why but i am not gonna waste mine and your time. But like you said, in 2011 Novak humbled him and showed him who is the boss, also a little bit Federer in 2017 too
@@BogdanPW641Cry more
Soderling acted like a jerk several times against him (Wimbledon 07 and Rome 09). T
Nalbandian and Kyrgios are the two biggest wastes of massive talent the game has seen. Both should have had much bigger careers
I don't get the hype behind Kyrgios. He was good but I don't get why he is always considered amongst the "biggest wasted talents"
Another choke from Nalbandian.
Thank you so much. Olivier Rochus was such a smart player and he loved grass. One year he almost beat prime Federer on grass, in a very long and highly contested match.
13:39 lol
first time i have reviewed Roddick's game. famous serve - i knew that. backhand better than i thought. forehand less than i imagined. footwork - average. volley average, but noticeably has trouble changing direction and reacting to the ball at net - appears stone-footed. he appears to keep his body in condition. overall pretty much as i imagined. i imagined he won some big matches , but 90% based on his serve. without that he might have been from 50-100 in the world at that time. people have commented that they appreciated his personality.
Just unleashing on what was then still a great forehand. That faded after 2011 i would say
Back then, the intros were just as good as the match 🩷
Murray was Zverev between 2008 and 2011
Berdych was a rocket launcher
Before anyone asking how many aces did Johansson hit in the match, they’re 51 aces.
Love this ❤
Nice match 👍, can you upload Blake vs Andreev Australian Open 2009 and Tsonga vs Blake Australian Open 2009? Would be cool
Its a shame these old matches have no scoreboard. You never know who is winning.
Yes, Djoko was only 17, but Safin is so underrated as a baseliner. Dominated from start to finish.
This was probably the best match between these two! I'd include 2010 Miami and 2010 Canada as well. Tomas could gv Roger problems when he was on top of his game. He beat Roger in a good 3-set'r at the 2004 Olympics in Athens in their very first match-up. From this '09 match in Melbourne until their 2014 match in Dubai, they played some great matches, playing 10 times and splitting them going 5-5.
Rafa didn't hate ALL blue clay courts
damn man and that was gaskets best tennis ive ever seen too man.. just aint fair haha
Thank you. That was a beautiful match.
You're welcome 🤗
@@themsharapova10 do you have him vs Baghdatis from this same tournament?
Holy shit. I was looking for this match since ages
You're welcome 🤗
There is something special in watching two single handed backhand players playing against each other🙂
is that FATS music at the very end!?? woow what a find that is!
Excellent tennis! 🎾💥👏🏾
Could you upload Blake vs Andreev Australian Open 2009?
They're both great. Super strong Gonzalez💪
that guy was once my tennis trainer, hes friends with my father and stuff hated his guts, hes the reason i never want to touch a tennis racket ever again. once had my dads phone when i was younger and watched youtube, köllerer suddenly calls and disturbs my youtube i obviously declined and wrote him something like "my dads not here right now", he replied "can you please hand the phone to your dad?" simply replied with "no" and continued watching youtube on my dads phone
the difference in training. Haas at times hits weak shots. you cannot " rally " in modern tennis. every shot needs to be forcing the other player or at least minimizing his attack surface. Haas's game is good and his serve is top-quality. the difference is training and intensity. he is maybe 10% below federer. with training for a year he could be 6% below Federer. that would have made him a champion of the second-tier. I just watched him though hit a pitiful attempt at a drop shot against Nadal on hard court ? that shows you his amateur-ness in relation to the champions ... Nadal, Djokovic and Federer.
make it 60fps, its 2024 already
if Verdasco had the work ethic of Nadal,he could have made serious damage to all three of those guys
it's not even that, if he had a brain beyond a toddler he would've won a couple of grand slams
