Dude, I installed the mod but it didn't activate. There is a change in the settings but there is no option to activate the mod. As for the chank, I can increase or decrease the original chank of the game, but other than that I can't increase or decrease it. So your game has nothing to do with mine. I have a normal Minecraft, only the settings tab is black, that's all.

You are right. Although many people write in the comments about the “distant generation” setting, it does not generate LODs, but regular chunks, i.e. in fact, in terms of generation there is no scaling and you will not be able to see truly distant objects.

the mod acuualy does do this but it just does it really slowly so it doesent affect your fps you can set it to take more cpu

Because of the way DH works. The best way to start out is spawn in. and set the DH CPU load to max. Let it run for 10m and then set CPU load back to balanced and reload the world. boom it'll load a big part of the world. Just gota reload the world for some reason.

User error, distant horizons automatically generates chunks outside of actual render distance, and also you can pregenerate chunks, but yes, it's very slow, but I think they fixed most of this stuff in 2.1

this video is the minecraft equivalent of your grandma complaining that the mouse doesn't work because she didn't plug it in bro did zero research (distant generation option built into dh or literally any remote chunk loading mod solves this issue)

use chunky, you can pre-load chunks so that when you go adventuring those chunks can already be seen, but ti does take a while to full load them all. Also i have a really good pc and the whole selling point of dh is that it doesn't lag, but it does exactly that

Distant horizons litteraly has the "distant generation" setting... which loads the faraway chunks without you having to go there by foot... I guess its a skill issue. If you're on server though you'll have to wait for the server side version to come out.

Yes, So there's a solution to this and this what the RUclipsrs use aswell. Chunky. It's a mod that pre-loads any amount of chunks you want it to. Most people set the distance to 6000 but for me 4000 has been more than enough and it doesn't take more than 15 mins for me. Once it all loaded you can go exploring for a long long time.
