How to Experience God
In this powerful message, Jeffrey Johnson unpacks Paul's heartfelt prayer in Ephesians 3:14-19, focusing on the ultimate Christian longing: to be filled with the fullness of God. Drawing from Paul’s prayer, Johnson explores the profound idea of experiencing a deep, transformative relationship with God-a revival of the soul where God's presence fills every part of our being, leaving no room for the world.
He outlines four essential steps for encountering God and cultivating personal revival: prayer to the Father, the power of the Holy Spirit, faith in Christ, and being rooted and grounded in love. Revival, Johnson explains, is more than intellectual knowledge or external rituals-it’s a pers...

The Church's Role and The Great Commission
I genuinely appreciate the conviction, sincerity, and humility that come through in Pastor Johnson's preaching, and I'm just not aware of any similar conviction, sincerity, and humility from any pulpit here in the spiritual wasteland of the Chicago suburbs.
I found you uncle preach that gospel old man!!!
I appreciate Grace Bible Church of Conway, but the huge screen behind the pulpit is an equally huge turnoff and distraction--how ever did Christ and all of his faithful ministers after Him preach for 2000 years without huge mega-screens? How ever did the gospel advance without screens? Do we REALLY need a huge mega-screen proclaiming "THE FAITHFULNESS OF GOD" in huge block letters behind the pulpit? Are people stupid? Or do you just think that they are and that preaching needs to be dumbed-down? I appreciate Pastor Johnson's preaching, but I thank God that his sermons are published without huge mega-screens behind him dumbing-down his sermons and distracting from them, and I don't watch the midweek Bible study for precisely this reason--guess what? I read serious books and study the Bible on my own without the aid of mega-screens, just as faithful Christians have done for 2000 years. Don't we have enough intrusive screens in our lives without their taking over our Bible studies and worship services as well? What would happen if people just gathered intimately around the Word of God without a screen mediating their experience for them? Has the Protestant church in America reverted to Roman Catholicism? Could the large screen actually be idolatry (gasp!)? Does a large screen really add anything to the Word of God or make it easier to understand?
It's not so much that I don't "want" to be part of the church--I LONG to be part of a BIBLICAL church--but should I participate in some clownish substandard church just for the sake of nominally participating in a nominal so-called "church"?
👃 lol (: 15:02

I love Pastor Johnson and this church; I was just speaking today with my company's regional manager in Texas who is from Arkansas and was telling him about this church and how I would move to Arkansas in a heartbeat to be part of this church, because there's nothing like it in the spiritual wasteland of the Chicago suburbs: Pastor Johnson is a treasure, and I have never heard preaching such as this in the superficial, shallow Chicago suburbs, and certainly not in the cold and spiritually dead OPC.
❤
My ?'s which are leading me on some deep dives. You stated, "All reasons are still true." and then you went to culture and customs for not veiling today. Where did the custom of the wedding ring come from? I honestly don't know and from a few searches just now have found all kinds of answers. So, some info I am finding is saying "wedding rings" are an Egyptian practice from 5000 years ago. And Christians did not start wearing them until 9th century. If this is true, we as Christians have had a longer practice or custom to headcoverings/veilings than for a stand to wear a wedding ring? If speaking of American culture custom or practice then, it is my understanding women stopped headcovering because of/during the feminism movement. Thoughts, insights. Thank you so much! Your videos from your church are a blessing to me and my family!
I always look forward to as well as appreciate Pastor Johnson's preaching, because I'm just not aware of anything like it in the spiritual wasteland of the Chicago suburbs.
This just randomly popped up! So Good! Love your sermon! May we fear GOD!
I just love Rev. Boice; what a treat--the South is blessed--there are absolutely NO churches in the spiritual wasteland of the Chicago suburbs like either Pray's Mill or Pastor Johnson's church in Conway.
Praise the Lord! Thank you! This was fantastic! ❤
😀 *Promosm*
I really do love Pastor Johnson's preaching and this church--there's just nothing like it of which I'm aware in the superficial spiritual wasteland of the Chicago suburbs. I have NEVER heard solid preaching such as this in the spiritual wasteland of the superficial Chicago suburbs.
I needed to hear this again today. What a blessing God has given me through this church.
I can't think of any emasculated so-called "church" in the Chicago area that would actually have the integrity and the backbone to say, "You're the problem," out of fear of "offending" some unbeliever, not that the "churches" here actually even make the distinction between believers and unbelievers.
Exactly ZERO cultures who have a vested interest in members making more members is going to do anything BUT mandate marriage, prohibit not being married in whichever way. They want more warriors, more workers, more breeders. And exactly NO patriarchal culture will allow remarriage, just in case the woman is already carrying her former husband's child. Uh...Iron Age much?
I always appreciate Pastor Johnson's preaching.
I have grown to love this church, and I just don't hear any serious, sober, meaningful preaching such as this in the spiritual wasteland of the Chicago suburbs.
I'm so grateful for Grace Bible Church, too: there's nothing like it in the spiritual wasteland of the Chicago suburbs.
Don't hear humble, realistic, sensitive preaching such as this in the superficial, shallow, materialistic spiritual wasteland of the Chicago suburbs.
Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
The title says Luke 12.20, but he begins by saying that he's preaching on John 12.20-26.
Updated, thanks!
What a rare sober treasure this church seems to be--not aware of anything like it in the spiritual wasteland of the Chicago suburbs.
So deeply grateful to discover your church, and I wish I weren't so far away in the spiritual wasteland of the Chicago suburbs.
James4:17...Romans2:14-16.....the law of God within his people written on their hearts....that is the law that God has put within his people and that is by the grace of God.....
