Very proud of you Lex, will be sending this video to the whole family lol Also legal disclaimer - I did not produce this video, this video was produced by NBC/NBC Universal/Comcast. I took a small segment from the Today show 1/15/21 of a family member's success and uploaded it to share with other family members that might have missed the show. I believe that this clip and upload complies with "...
You have to have perfect soil for this to work properly. If your lawn has hard dry spots this ain’t gonna do shit.
i was not pleased with this purchase……either
I see you have aftermarket blades. Just curious as to what kind they are and how you like them? I'm wondering if I should buy some.
@@Rbecker26 Ballard gold blades. I swear by them
No good for hard soil
2 brake discs and some tubes. Something like this can easily be assembled by yourself in an hour.
Should sell for $79.95. What a ripoff.
Thank you for a nice video. Would you mind tell me where did you get the engine and cost of it? Thanks.
@@mitchdzik9420 the link is in description, the price fluctuates. Anywhere from 450 to 600
I bought one because of your review… sadly it’s almost a month and still haven’t received it 😢😂.
Dude same. Ordered on August 7th. I had taken this week off for my lawn renovation. Still no aerator. I guess I'm renting one now. Maybe I'll just ask for my money back at this point.
Same here ordered in March 2024, received disc in September and no handle, did followup 30 to 40 times with promise of delivery by next week, no no response from last 10 days, stuck with disc without handle to use it, waste of $400 with no option of refund. Better look for other options.
@@VirajSingh-l1t i just received 2 handles and no disk last week. 🤦
How long did it take you to do the swap from start to finish?
@@juanarredondo18 I was recording so it took me longer. But the entire process is very straight forward. It's three bolts. It takes 10-15 minutes if you are optimized. More realistic is 30 mins
@@atg4469 oh wow, I was anticipating much longer. I have the 190cc and head gasket is blown along with other motor issues. Have been on the fence swapping for a while but now I don’t have much of a choice. Hoping to get it ordered this week.
Your right, do not buy! 5 months of it is on its way... never received! Terrible seller!
Any recommendations?
It looks to be made with used brake rotors and crappy tines. You could go to any rental store get a good gas one and rent it for less than 50 bucks a day. 400 bucks is insane..
Just looks like they welded used brake rotors together. You could go to a rental store and rent a good one for 50 bucks a day or less..
You paid for that? 8/ A sucker is born every min.
Stop being lazy and clean it
SIR YES SIR!
Clog master definitely got to try that
@@vernonfarabee try it brother and post back. If it works for you too it will be proof for others
Buy a grinder, electrical pipe, go to the wrecker for the brake rotors. @ $400 it’s worth exploring. It may cost you something close.
Dude this product is literally made out of things from a scrapyard and they sell this thing for hundreds of dollars???? It looks like it was assembled by a crackhead
I built a roller out of a 8" pvc sewer pipe with plywood ends a couple of casters with the wheels removed to hold the conduit handle. Then I filled it with sand. It works pretty good. Should I try selling them?😅
@@craigl1958 lol why not when u sell it let me know I'll test it out
FYI… GREEN SCOTT sells tines! Canada 🇨🇦 company great products!
Unfortunately, I believe Michael amick is a scammer. I ordered the aerator from him on May 1st. He kept promising delivery. Then he said if I canceled PayPal and shipped Western Union he would knock $100 off. I contacted PayPal about a week ago and he did not respond to them and PayPal gave my money back. Terrible customer service and I'm going to make sure everyone knows about it on social media

Ordered May 1 and have not received on June 29. I have filed a complaint with PayPal
Lol i ordered mine in august of 2022, I didn't receive it until December. So your experience is not unheard of, that being said - I DO NOT RECOMMEND, GET YOUR MONEY BACK
That is just a conglomeration of random crap bolted together. WTF?
This one made me laugh LOL
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Two brake disc's... Not the best presentation
Had an issue with the kohler not starting after a year, turned out i had to disconnect the kill wire at the ignition coil..now it starts but can't turn off by pushing the choke lever forward..the kill wire goes to a tiny microswitch in the choke lever linkage..any help on fixing this? I don't see this switch listed in the service manual..Thanks.
A sucker is born every second.
This does not fit my car!
For the money, its arse! Green Scott! Check it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@atg4469 do you know if this will also fit the Super Recycler as well? I have model 21382 with the Honda engine because I did not want the Briggs engine. I feel the GCV160 is also underpowered for the Super Recycler. I see this Kohler 224 and also a 200cc version as well. I'm sure either would be far superior to even the Honda.
Will look it up and get back to you
@@atg4469 Think I am just gonna wing it with the CV200. Should be more than plenty of power. Even the Toro commercial Recycler only has the CV173 so I'd be doing even better than that haha. What part of NY are you from? I can tell by the accent. I'm on LI.
@@JamesWDantonio hahahaha you got me, i'm from Coram
@@atg4469 Oh nice, I'm in Ronkonkoma.
Those are 2 disk breaks😂 great idea though
Straight up scam
What size are them rotors..
Really like the idea, not so much the execution.
My older model (smaller engine) did not come with the front baffles and seemed to work for me. Try to mow in the afternoon (not commercial mower). Note, my transmission stopped working (would not push), so I drilled a hole in the transmission and filled it half full of gear oil (80wt). Thing took off and I needed running shoes to keep up. I think I will switch over to corn head grease sold by large equipment john deer dealers. Corn head grease very close to spec and cheap at eleven bucks a tube.
What is the point of aerating with 2 rows of times? Are you trying to see how long it takes to aerify, why even buy it to begin with.
Wear better shoes. You'll thank me someday.
I got some redwing boots now, you're 100% correct, I'm thanking you now LOL
Looks like the tines need brought in a bit, maybe and inch and needs a bit more weight. Try throwing on another rotor or two if they'll fit.
I agree they are too long,
Now it's $499...
Even if it works, it's a diy level and should be a cheap leisure time built.
This is what I find hilarious, your car has rotors on it and probably needs changing. By making your car better, you could also get a free aerator.
How about this. Next time I change my brakes I'll make a video of how to make one lol. I am due for brakes this summer anyway
I would mow that grass down much closer before aerating.
Finally somebody honestly said it. This is exactly what I wanted to know, because no other review mentions dirt getting stuck and it was kinda hard to believe it doesn't.
I can not believe people actually pay money for these. Brake rotors, conduit and miscellaneous hardware.
Thanks for sharing and fully agree the kit should come with quality tines in the first place. For the double row of tines VS just a single row with the two brake rotors of about 30 lbs.... wouldn't a single row of tines with the two rotors work better and be easier to push... just have to roll twice as much, i.e. the tines would go into ground easier, and allow pushing it to be easier than the double you are demonstrating. I am going to make one myself and think that the single row of tines between the two rotors may be a better design for my small lawn. What would be your opinion on this, having your experience with the double? Another consideration is the number of tines, would adding another tine from 7, to 8, make it a better design for operation, more plug holes closer together, and or maybe also a larger rotor in diameter to compliment an extra tine? - what diameter is yours?
Thanks I really appreciate you making these videos regarding the Briggs to Kohler swap. This is something that I have been considering for some time, but I didn’t have the knowledge/confidence to tackle it. YOU have given me that! Thanks again
Would this work better if the tines were staggered instead of lined up?
I was wondering the same thing!
Almost certainly. Needs more weight.
Thats a very good idea to start with
That a kool idea just needs more money put into it
