The hole openings look a little big. They look like crayfish traps that gee makes. That trap needs a clip that keeps it together. Minnows escaped through that opening.

Actually a pretty good idea. I'd tape up up the steal that connects to the reel so it won't scratch up as much but, that's just me. Good idea. I think I'll try it.

I Just take a length of PVC arount 2 ft. and cut a 45degree angle on one end with a miter saw. Then I use a T-post driver to hammer them into the ground with the angle I want my poles to be at. Solid, and the best thing is no assemble required. Another tip if you do not have a t-post driver and are using a hammer or sledge be sure to have a block of wood to lay on the PVC to prevent it from busting when its hit. The t-post driver hits flush every time and never had one bust. My 2 cents!

I see your problem and it seems that same issue with most traps like those. They arent fully closed or stay closed. When you lifted it up giant gap on the seem where you open it up.

Rod is flaky. Tape is bad idea. Fishing Rod holder should be built to be used more than once. but again, as you mentioned at the beginning of the vid... it is made out of s h i t... I wasted 5 min today (3 min on vid and 2 on comments...) plpease don't reply, I don't want to wast another min reading it.

Take the screen off it you will find the dog food still in the bait chamber but it will allow bigger chunks to lure them in also mix the dog foods together and let them marinate about 24 hrs then your good to go bait will last 40hrs easily. Also try to get under shade or branches.

Thx i need all the help i can get ! I loved catfishing when i was a kid with my dad. He always had some huge flathead heads nailed to trees in his backyard. me on the other hand havent been so successful YET.

well those must be some small bream/bull heads !!!!!! i figure that trap is best suited for minners.now me for bream and small catfish i make a trap fairly akin to a crawfish pot.and if you still use that skinky smelly shit try putting it in a peice of pantty hose itll keep longer hope this helped
