World Wide Technology Raceway Circuit 1
A 10 lap session at WWTR on the 1.6 mile circuit with the Misfit Toys Car Club. This is with a passenger, 95 deg F ambient temp on Aug 20, 2023. Stock GT4RS running Dunlop Sport Maxx Race 2 tires. Right rear corded in the end, but the tires were on their last leg anyway. Tires held up pretty well considering the number of heat cycles and track temp. Many thanks to MTCC for putting the event together.

Just when I was done getting rid of the squirels, I now have to deal with this!

I caught this guy with my infrared camera. Not good. Tomato stealers will be punished accordingly.
Kayaking on lower Missouri River

This was a test trip to Jeff City on the Missouri River. I was trying to get a feel of the river, the speed at which my kayak travels with a specific load and fit of equipment on the kayak. I am planning a much longer trip to St. Louis and wanted to be prepared. Used an awesome Advanced Elements Convertible kayak
What series is this?
It's just a DE
And here I thought I was doing decently turning a 1:13.8 in my CT5 Blackwing. 1:06.8 is IMPRESSIVE. You were carrying more than 10 mph more than I was during the steady-state part of the oval, and I think the fastest I saw on the front straight was 139. I was at Gateway with the SCCA, was not at this particular event.
Different cars. 1:13 is VERY respectable!!
Great lines and video
Thanks for everything !!!!
Great laps! If you’re at the PCA HPDE in Sept, I’d love to have you copilot and coach me! Thank you for being so modest and humble in every event. It’s one thing to be better than the rest. It’s a refreshing difference when you’re - - patient enough to respect your fellow drivers, resist the opportunity for a point even when you’re due… Ford GT40 don’t have open windows… who knew…
Thank you for the comments! Yes, I’ll be there in September. Happy to assist with what I can :) Yeah, took me a while to realize that the GT40 couldn’t point by and then was waiting for a clear open, so nobody got into trouble. These events are for fun; not worth potential outcomes of a bad move. Honestly, I don’t think I’m better than anyone. I drive a fast, very expensive car, built with a track focus, I have many thousands of laps on this track and I have spent even more time studying my data. Anyone in my shoes would have probably had similar times. It was fun driving with the GT40 and the Camaro. Very fast drivers in both cars.
1:06.88! Absolutley incredible driving, George. A stunning machine in very capable hands!
Many thanks!
Thanks for sharing the link on my post on facebook. great laps
Pleasure. And here’s one from today on the 1.6 circuit you asked for: World Wide Technology Raceway Circuit 1 ruclips.net/video/YzJ_fJD6DAc/видео.html
@@gchronis 1.06 is flying. Best I got today was a 1.10
There was only that one lap worth it in this session I think. Rest were sloppy cause tires were corded. Previous session was better line and more consistent. I’ll upload that as well at some point. The other guys were pushing and having a carrot helps with lap times :)
So that would be the way to enter and exit the carousel???
Definitely a good way, Randy
you searched this after Gundam
Academy award worthy!
This another lost episode of Regular Show if fascinating.
I see two fat raccoons sliding under my chain link gate or climbing over it. My tomatoes are bitten or on ground. I had no idea because they are in an above the ground planter.
Funny too how they only eat part of the ripened tomatoes. They seem to leave the really green ones alone...for now.
I was wondering if raccoons ate tomatoes because after processing a tomato, I'll toss the scraps out, but the raccoons won't touch them.
I woke up this morning also and not only are all my tomatoes are gone but half my squash plant is without leaves. Either 2 legged or 4 legged vermin are eating my crops.
I did the cedar creek to the mo river, near the capital today. Scary initially, but I acclimated to it. Glad I did it, it was on my to do list lol. I also passed barges collecting sand for commercial use.
I agree with Mark, should have on a life jacket.
I took 14 raccoons out of my tomato garden in a single season. These things are becoming a plague.
Do they eat the leaves or stems as well?
So far, I've only seen them bite the tomatoes, not the leaves or stems. I used a live trap to catch them all (for now).
Hey George! Thanks for sharing your video. I just got my first kayak and plan to hone my skills on Creve Coeur Lake. I'm like that you talked and gave comments. So many videos I watched only had music. Missouri has some pretty lakes and streams. Anyway, where did you put in? How long was the whole trip? What advice can you give to a green guy? Thank you in advance.
Joe Wilson's Serenity Park in Jefferson City is gem for paddlers to stay at! What a great river host...Joe's a true river angel. NM: Missouri River Paddlers
That's so weird! Some sites say tomato plants make good raccoon repellent. I guess some sites are wrong...
I woke up this morning and all of my tomatoes were gone...
DAMN! I guess the only option is to - eat the raccoons.
They're eating our beefsteak tomatoes too! Right when they ripen!
@Cartertine Anytime. Would you prefer email or phone?
I would love to ask you a few questions about your river knowledge. Maybe some advice.
gchronis
You may camp anywhere you want along the river. The only problem is that you need to find a suitable spot. There are a lot of muddy steep bluffs that are just hard to access, but there are plenty of spots. Just have to be looking and be ready to get out, cause if you pass it, it's kind of hard to paddle back. While you are looking, make sure you stay in the channel, though. A lot of areas are too shallow.
Hey, did 28.4 miles on my trip to Jeff and about 70 on another trip to Gasconade. I have both trips on my site with videos and details. Shoot me an email and I'll send you the site, because it won't take it here. After that I tried to go from Columbia to STL, but got stuck at Washington due to a bad storm. That was about 100+ miles. I was training for the MR340 but never made it because of work. I like going down the Missouri, so if you need some company let me know.
I love the kayak. When I used to live in an apartment with limited space, it was the best thing on earth. Now, I keep it half inflated, since I have a big garage It tracks amazingly well and I can get it up to 6.3 mph. There is a LOT of space for a 5 day excursion and the modification from a tandem to solo in seconds is sweet. I can't say enough good words about it. Since then, I have gotten another two kayaks, so I don't use it much, but we have a lot of fun everytime we take it out.
Cool float. Good demonstration of lack of public access on the right descending bank at Jefferson City. Should wear a PFD on the Missouri.
Wow, that looks like fun. Anyways, great vid.
A little better quality, though still compressed for the web here: cybergeorge dot net slash Cybertures. More details on this test trip on the web site. Enjoy the video.
