Life long journaler here. I put everything in my journals. I can’t imagine life without this hobby/habit.

I use an A5 binder with 6 rings, so I can move pages around and discard the ones I don’t like very much or re-do some stuff. This way, the first page isn’t intimidating, you don’t feel the pressure of filling it in all the way (because it can be finished whenever you want) and if you need extra space you can just add more pages: just punch some holes in and that’s it. I normally carry a couple of months in it and then store all my year in a bigger 30mm ring binder I make if the ones that are already made are too thin 😊

I'd been feeling pressure after bullet journalling for a few years now to keep up with it when planning it out started to feel like a chore, but this video has inspired me to try not to take it too seriously. It was lovely to hear your thoughts, thank you for sharing!

The best “relationship” I had with a journal was with one I got a super cheap one and decorated with a paper cover, glued in paper tabs and a few ribbons for page markers.

I loved your video and I love your aesthetic! Your tipps really resonated with me. I journal for a long time now, but I only managed to do it consistently after I let go of all my expectations. The moment I stopped caring about a routine, really thought out spreads, themes etc. was the moment I really fell in love with it and all of a sudden it's something I look forward to. Ironically my journaling became way more consistent and creative in the process. I now realise that freeing myself from all the pressure I put on me was a good practise in being kind to myself.
