Hi Dragan! A question about the eyepiece: I'm trying to adjust the diopter, but not sure what I'm supposed the turn. And I'm missing the rubber eyecup. The knurled dial seems completely stuck, but the small ring that screws in turns. Which one adjusts the diopter?

hey, does your apperture ring move anywhere from 1.9 when you are focusing camera on something lighter or darker? or does it always stay automatically on f1.9?

I just found the exact same one. In the same bag with manuals and a kodak tape inside. It was in a closet for over 40 years. This model is from 1977 . They don't seem to be worth much. I'm sure they were alot when they came out.

Alas, cewertainly didn’t accept the short-lived 200ft cartridges…

Although I never had the chance to own a ZM4, I was able to use one for a day, and it was a delight. I found it very intuitive - though to be fair, I had been using my Beaulieu R18 and 6006S. Unlike some people, I also found the grip to work just fine. By far the most amazing aspect was the high frame rate of 80fps (!) the highest of any Super or Single-8 camera as far as I know. Added to that, I staged a shot where the character is running in a circle, and I ramped the camera through the entire 2 to 80 frames per second, and let the camera’s automatic exposure deal with it! It did a very nice job, about 90% spot-on, a small amount of lag, that literally no one saw in the final results. Very sadly, I don’t have that footage, or if I do, its in among the many boxes of S8 and 16 cans, reels and boxes from my film school years in the 80’s.

I remember in my youth, Nizo and Beaulieu was the Rolls in Super 8 (Schneider optics), but very expensive and overpriced at the time for a student.

I just found one of these with a 8-64mm Angenieux attached in a box of vintage cameras and lenses I bought 8-9 years ago. It seems to be in excellent condition but when I look through the viewfinder with the lens cap off, it's pitch black and I can't figure out why.

Nice and clean! I got one recently and we'll see but so far everything runs real nice. Careful with the handling of the little silver manual aperture dial (next to the OFF/R/RL dial) it's gotta be babied as they're difficult to fix apparently. My folks are 80 and currently reading the 750 pg manual for their new Honda Civic magic keyless ignition car....I'm sojourning in the 1970s with film haha

Really cool! I bought a very cheap beat up version that needs a lot of service and lubrication and the dials on it are mostly stuck I do wish you had shown how you opened and closed the lens back, because the video cuts that part out for some reason.

Does the lens go one tight mine goes past the hole before it gets tight

I wish I had this model mine is similar but lacs some of the freatures this one has.
