Yakumo's opponent's name is Taishin and his Shikigami's name is Shousetsu no Magahoshi
Kinda weird to think that the older device has diagonals and the new ones lost it
I think the diagonal is to show how ahead he is in terms of technique While everyone else only does Horizontal and Vertical strokes, Yakumo does diagonals At least that's how I read it

@@ZenoDLC it's how I#ve at least read it, idk, maybe there is an interview where it is explained Also considering yakumo doesn't do diagonals in the manga, which takes place before the show
