Bronchial asthma is the bronchoconstriction of the respiratory passages in response to the exposure to various allergens ,genetic susceptibility in childhood onset asthma & different trigger factors like pollutants ,smoke , and food items like cheese ,choclates ,sea foods , wheat gluten etc in adult onset asthma ; also defined as Intrinsic & Extrinsic respectively.
Clinical presentation is with dyspnea ,chest tightness ,cough and wheeze.
Investigations are1.Spirometry -FEV1 ,FVC ,FEV1/FVC ; 2.Sputum for eosinophilia ,3.Blood exmination -CBC ,AEC ,4.Skin test -for allergic substances.
Management is done in the Stepped Approach ,depending on the severity of broncho...

Very nice presentation by Dr Ashok Rana. Dr Rana has expressed the topic in a very practical way. Nothing had been under or over described.Just proper description. Such a nice explanation can be done only by a doctor who is treating the patients at ground level. Dr Rana's way of teaching is very easily understandable by students,practitioners or even by literate laymen.
