Stable connection is there for 2.4Ghz. it gives around 70 to 80Mbps at corner most location within same floor. 5Ghz keeps dropping, but that is because in jio for me 5Ghz is not stable with router itself. Please note that i had to shift to ACT in the past 3 months, and so i couldn't use the Jio fiber extender with ACT

No it won't work to extend 4g. It is only for Jio fiber broadband connection

No you cannot connect landline to the extender. It has only a LAN connection port

Try resetting the device again by pressing the reset button. After that follow the instructions in video or the guide that came in with the extender. Atleast while connected with LAN it should pair. Btw I hope you have Jio Fiber only and not another ISP. the device won't pair with any other ISP like ACT or Airtel

Try restarting your router once. I also faced similar issue after few days. The problem was that the router stops the 5g band for some reason. Due to this the extender is not able to connect to both bands. After router restarts, the 5g and 2.4ghz bands should both be present. Then the extender should turn green after removing the lan. One other thing btw, the extender should be a little far away from the router and not immediately next to it.

No you cannot insert sim, this is not a dongle like Jio dongle...this is a mesh extender to extend your jio fiber broadband range within your home

Once you connect the lan cable from Jio router to the mesh, it'll get to green signal after 4 to 5mins. This is needed only during initial setup

Once lan cable is connected during initial setup, the ssid gets changed to your own SSID. This helps in seamless network connection, unlike a WiFi extender which has a different SSID than your network

I've used a cat 6 cable. I got 5m cable for 250rs in Amazon. You can get longer cables also

Try changing position of the extender. Extender 3rd LED will turn green as shown in video if you are in the right place. There should be optimum distance between router and extender. I'm getting upto 130Mbps in 150Mbps connection through extender

@@johnyboy007 Wifi LED is green...but still it's not providing that much speed. I getting max 100 Mbps in 5ghz. And there is one more problem, whenever I check Internet speed test via SpeedTest App mesh get disconnected and wifi signals turns into red. It's really frustrating.

I can't be sure of that. I've had two models of the router with JCx4xx series with which the extender works fine and gives upto 150Mbps. I don't see why it won't work with an older model router, as they didn't mention it in their support site, just check with jio care once. Btw, one method to get them change your router. Call them n cancel the current connection and request for a new connection. That way u will get one month free trial also. You would get back 1500 refund also from initial deposit

@@johnyboy007 Thanks for the reply. I have a paid for the 6 months plan so I'm not sure if I can cancel it and apply for a new connection. Anyways I have ordered the mesh extender let's see if it works with the older router model 🤞

As shown in the video, lan cable connection needed only for first setup. After that lan cable connection is not needed. Just place the extender in next room and switch it on. Other devices will connect using the same wifi names

You can keep connecting the extender with the lan cable also if you want. But you might have to drill holes of you have to keep a very long lan cable right?

Problem solved bro... Connected with lan cable was creating that issue ..don't know I think they have issue in their firmware ....but now I hve connected it with without lan cable...giving better range and almost same as speed as router..✌️

Speed drop is there depending on the distance from the extender, similar to router. If I'm close to it in same room I get 120 to 130 Mbps. If I'm in next bedroom, I get 100 to 110 Mbps. I guess it also depends on your device, I mostly use my phone which supports Wi-Fi 6 which also increases speed. Overall it's a very good purchase, a bit costly but it was worth it. But coverage will be good within same floor. If you have different floors, I suggest you to get a second extender or use lan cable with extender

As per jio it can be used to cover dead spots in your home, so yes it can be used for 1st n second floor... But the effectiveness depends on how far away try to access the WiFi signal. I have done in a 3 BHK House within same floor and it's great...I get nearly full wifi signal within the house. If you have 3BHK within 2 floors then one extender should be ok. But you have more rooms, you might need 2 extenders. Use 1 extender and see if it covers all spots

Use extender with wired connection.. than u can place it even in 4 th floor... Extender supports both wirless and wired mode buy 30 mtr(or more) cable and connect extender with main router. U are good to goooo... My current speed with wireless mode on first floor is as good as main router speed 😊

@@gamerx3881 im in same trouble...now this device keeps disconnecting every 3 days. i thought of trying wired method..i will try it this week......but once connected my net speed is awesome in dead zone.....speaking of returning item ,you have to call customer care and claim warranty ,tell them device stopped working and you have to ship on your own to respective address , contact them get your order id from gmail and follow up return procedure/ warranty claim

During setup for one time, connect extender directly to router using Lan cable. After that there is no need to connect to router. The extender can be independently used and need not be connected to the router

I think in newer fire tv this doesn't always work. You might be better off using the prime video app in fire tv if the issue continues
