Played this in high school with the best band conductor in Kansas and Oklahoma, Mr. Jim Schnoebelen, and we nailed it! Love this entire suite!

I did, a bit strange, I wonder when, there is no time in that piece of music to do anything but conduct.
This excellent musical organization is the result of the commitment of music educators like Frank Dunnigan who launched the first NYB 20 years ago. Congratulations to everyone involved.

I agree; not the best version of this piece I heard; the pauses are too long, the marcato's too less marcato in the trumpet - low brass replies, diminuendo's too abrupt, poor punctuation here and there, etc. the conductor isn't " asking" to the musicians, if you know what I mean; therefore the result is that they draw too little "attention" to the audience.
Amazing! Wonderful music and wonderful performance. A Bruckner work that might never be heard otherwise. Thank you for this offering!

The Ubiquitous Flintstone Theme, Done remarkably well and with jazzy pizzazz. Note the clarinet player moving her head to the music. Improvisation can be wonderful.

Interesting...you must have spliced two different videos together because, for instance, if you compare the image at 0:22 to the image at 2:01, you can see that, not only is ms. turner wearing something different, but the podium and a microphone are in different places!
just noticed something strange - ms. turner appears to be changing outfits a couple of times over the course of this performance..
