Colorado Road Trip (CORT) happens annually and gathers rollerbladers from around the country to tour around between the amazing concrete skateparks in the mountains of CO. This year I visited the newly renovated Crested Butte skatepark, Gunnison Skatepark, and the newer Salida Skatepark. I camped at Hartman Rocks and rode my mountain bike on the first day. I'll definitely be back again - I need...

Skating the Roka 4x100 with Wizard Skating NR wheels, and the sounds of slides are addicting! Moves I worked on: - fakie parallel slide - the July edition of the monthly wizard challenge - closed Lion S - parallel slide combo - some spins in front of the lightning The sunset was beautiful so I filmed for 80 minutes and chopped it down to what you see here.

cool flow, hit us with an update this year? :)
@@Noway-sg8md thanks :) I’ve been posting throughout the year but maybe a recap is in order?
Would love to see you do series of videos on how to on the basic moves. Not too detail but enough for newbie like me to understand & follow.
@@JimmyHusain it’s something I’ve thought about doing for a while… I do have most of the tricks documented on my website eccentricinline.com with GIF “videos” and written explanations
Love how chill this is
@@liasanma1665 thanks :) it’s taken a few years to make these movements look chill. There used to be a lot more arm-waving!
@@billyarlew Really love it
I’m saving this one to try and copy some of these. 👍
@@fknid heck yeah I hope you get em!
woah that framing looks so cool on that first shot, flowy as always lookin super smooth
@@fitzfizzy it’s a pretty dreamy loading dock right? 😂
so twizzly..... and cool
Awesome flow, man! I am an intermediate level skater and just getting into wizard style of skating- from your experience, do you find it easier to do wizard moves on a boot with heel raise? Or is it easier with your CJs? Asking because I’ve been wanting to get a CJ for myself but idk if it’s worth it or should I just stick to my UFR right now. Thanks in advance
it looks soft and sweet but takes a lot of energy from your body. wouldnt change it for anyhting in the worlds
I could like this vid more zoomed out. Stunts are great!!☀️
I definitely feel like this helps. Got my first 5 wheel frames with the ARC ES, and the added length in front was pulling my heel up like never before until, but this lacing helped a good bit.
Glad to hear you got some more control!
Too nice 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Thank you 😊
Wizard skating will change the inlines style Forever ❤
I hope it is here to stay!
just incredible movement
@@mktbaby thank you!!
So dope!!!
Oooo so you're the eccentric inline guy 😅
@@yannickdublin7664 yeah that’s the website I made to record all the wizard moves in one place
@@billyarlew noooice, I've definitely been using it
Just found your channel and I've been binging the vids like crazy. By the way, what do you use to record these?
@@Totsy30 that’s so awesome! I’m glad you like the videos :) I recorded most of them with my iPhone SE, and a few using my Sony handycam.
@@billyarlew Of course my dude! I appreciate the response as I'm testing between iPhone and GoPro. Looking forward to learning from your vids 😃
@@Totsy30 ah yeah if you are filming solo, it's probably better to use the iphone.. I found that the gopro really prefers to be right up in the action since it is a wide angle, and that means someone probably needs to point it at you :)
@21:30 can you mix the durometers of the wheels to even out the wear?
That’s what I’m planning for the next time I replace wheels. I’ll do the MB Hosers in the middle and hydrogen 125’s on the ends
great stuff
💆🏼♂️👏🏼
⚡️👌nice
Soul slide tutorial needed! The flow is real as always!
Thank you! I'll consider that for a tutorial!
That soul-soul at 5:15 is nice I might try to steal that
@@ImPrpl_ it’s a fun one! The mizou to fakie soul is fun too
sweeeetttt
lovely spot and lovely skating again Billy, awesome. I will definitely get a pair of K2s sometime in the future as I need at least one good well fitting pair of 165s for distance kind of skating and downhill.
@@WheelyArt thanks Gary, it’s a great spot with the city skyline in the background :) this Grid boot is holding up nicely and the stock intuition liners feel great, just make sure to size down!
The outer wheels need to be bigger
it's kind of hypnotic to see the sky get darker and darker as you flow through that one spot, very cool
@@fitzfizzy I had to keep bumping up the exposure between shots, and I especially like seeing the lights turn on in the background. Maybe time is not an illusion after all 😜
What were the wheels on the ROKA 4/100
I think that was a mix of undercover and endless wheels? I have switched to wizard wheels since this video and they're quite nice
@@billyarlew thanks man appreciate it
Wow, it is WILD watching these back again. 0:54 Jesus you let that kid tag up? he's dogshit :P 2:20 is what I WANT my 540s to look like, but I still struggle to make that first edge transfer in time for the 3rd lion 3:30 Brian being able to get an open lion to slide on that pavement is just as impressive to me now as it was back then 4:00 Billy Fucking Arlew 4:23 Chris's crossed stall 4:30 A rare moment where I actually had control of my skates back then. I think this line would be just as hard to present me as it was to past me.
Again a nice chill place
Glad I found this train station that is temporarily closed
awesome flowy flow
Thanks buddy :)
Very nice Billy.
Thank you!!
Yes Billy! Happy to see you doing that fakie 360 to change the crossing, I love doing it !
It feels so nice! Definitely want to explore it more thoroughly
Nice skating I just ordered my first pair of inline skates. I have a lot to learn. It looks like fun. Thanks for the video.
That deer is sick...
This is ART...amazing🥲🧙🏼♂️
thank you so much, it's really nice to look back and realize how much I was "in the flow" despite it being Jan. 1st and probably like 0 deg Celcius
🔥🔥🔥
Wow, that park at night...!
@@liasanma1665 I really wish it was more well-lit but I probably should catch it a little earlier
@@billyarlew I wish I had a place like this nearby!
Is it a map of a city on your wall?
Yeah it’s a wallpaper map of my city, no labels just lines
@@billyarlew Ah. As a European it's so foreign with a city in actual squares. 😅
But looks awesome. Such a cool kind of decoration for a skater!
@@FabiusPyromanus haha yeah it’s pretty flat here so they were able to make a pretty simple grid. Not a lot of waterways either..
those spots in the beginning look nuts! i wish i had something like that near me. great skating m8!
@@wanderer9359 it’s by far the weirdest and hardest to skate park I’ve ever been to! Always feels like I need to spend a few hours to understand it
Genious, as always. Admittedly, I only watched this as I got curious about you using the new K2s. I see they do work.
@@peterpandur8691 thanks so much :) it’s okay to be curious haha! As I work my way down from 110’s to 90’s it’s much more intuitive for me. I’ll post a video from my session where I used Arc frames, and you will see it gets even more intuitive!
i have the roka 100 and these are not it, or at least they don't look like it. is this the endless UFS100 prototype? :)
Yeah these are the black Roka 100's. I just got the Endless UFS100 prototype a couple days ago and haven't posted any youtube vids on it yet. But I will soon!
WIth LED wheels there are awful cores and good cores in terms of the magnetic property. Chinese wheels have awful cores that barely make the wheels light up but you can always buy proper ones. Basically the bad ones have a more brown magnet and the good ones have a black magnet. About urethane. I don't feel there's too much difference between them. I have all sort of brands for LED wheels and the ones I like the least are the RB Moonbeams just because they're 82A. None of the wheels I have chunk out or wear out too fast. The chinese ones are 90A so they require smoother surface but that's about it. My favorites are Flying Eagle Lazerwheelz in terms of quality and tolerances. The logo is awful but you can use nail polish remover to erase them. Luminous are also great in terms of material but is hard to find cool LED colors on these and is hard to predict how they're going to look. They make weird color with white LEDs inside that don't do the trick properly. I have also a bunch of Hydrogen that I barely used (came with my twister XT and 3WD) and yes, I can tell they're a smoother ride cause they're 85A and also faster. About magnetic wheels on metal spacers. I think it would be pretty hard or impossible to make since the magnets probably cannot withstand the heat. it is a shame but good plastic cores can withstand quite some pressure. I never had any break on me. Another interesting fact is, that the magnets on these cores have a specific magnetic pattern. I tried re magnetizing bad cores and they totally lost their property and the wheel doesn't light up at all. Final fact, these cores do not work with friction, they work through induction. Just like a PC fan and that's why they don't free spin as long.
what is your opinion after one year? Do you use these frames often for wizard stuff or are the other frames more usefull?
As always man, loving your videos!
Ah thank you so much, really appreciate you saying :)
@billyarlew right now Im working on my pivots on my weaker side, trying to become a more balanced skater, backwards pivots, Ive never seen that before, so you know I will be messing with those later today!!
@@bshank8858 they’re funky but I knew they had to exist!
What frame is that? They look super cool! There is a good look at 04:05 and 04:45.
This is the ONE skates frame. It can do 4 different wheel configurations and it's a lot lighter than other frames which have solid walls
@@billyarlew Thanks!
Que lugar incrível Billy! Edicao doente; e mais uma vez agradecer tua generosidade com minha pessoa! Love from Brasil. 🇧🇷♥️
I appreciate your continued support! This place was really beautiful and serene, I hope to go back again soon :)
What a nice video! Beautiful footage and editing <3
Thank you so much :) It was fun to put it all together
Love these videos without music. The sound is just perfect
Thanks for saying :) I really like this style too
@@billyarlew It's very soothing!
Very nice as usual. How does the Grid feel?
Thanks dude! It's softer than what I'm used to with the wizard boots, so the 3x110 stock frame had to get swapped for these 4x90 and now I'm really liking em. I've been posting some reflections on Insta, but i'll do one for youtube soon :)
Isso alegrou meu dia Billy! 🇧🇷🤩🔥
