      No problem! The sites are tough to navigate for sure. Since you are a beginner, let me know if I could put something out there that you need but can’t find. You can let me know on here or email at whitetailleathercraft@gmail.com. Good luck on your next project!

    How long do you stamp the leather with this method?

      I typically let it sit for 5 minutes and it works very well!

    And from personal experience, make sure your fingers are pressing down, not sideways on the ruler, so if your thumb slips you don't amputate part of it with the knife. 😅

    Nice video, its cool how such a simple pattern can create a decent Air pods holder that Apple with charge about $90 for

    • @WhitetailLeathercraft
      @WhitetailLeathercraft 2 месяца назад

      Thank you! Yep, simple pattern and for that piece of leather it would be only $5-10 from a high quality, veg tan Italian leather hide.

    bro you better wear safety gloves because pressing down hard is more dangerous if it runs up the ruler and slices your thumbs! thumbs are important

    • @WhitetailLeathercraft

    • @choppedcheesedeluxe2284
      @choppedcheesedeluxe2284 2 месяца назад

      The point they’re making is that sometimes your hand can slip. Leather is really thick so you might apply the wrong force and slide it wrong

    • @vellermate1999
      @vellermate1999 2 месяца назад

      it can run off

    • @WhitetailLeathercraft
      @WhitetailLeathercraft 2 месяца назад

      Thanks y’all! Cutting in a straight line is preferred haha. It’s easier said then done when just starting out and my commenters are correct the blade can run off due to thick leather or any number of reasons. The idea is to protect the pattern and hopefully save someone from potential discouragement as they work on their first few products/develop their skills 👍

    The bag is such a nice, classic design. Love it!! Just a little thing i learned from my son when he was little...dropping pennies. Whenever I get pennies in change I look for an opportunity to sneakily drop it in front of a child. I try to make sure it's out in the open and they get so excited to find a "lucky" penny. Sometimes an adult sees it first. Either way there are smiles.
