Really, you should watch the movie first! The original Pinchcliffe Grand Prix! Well, as original as you can get, because a lot of it is still lost in translation, I´m sorry to say. Us Norwegians just love it, because we know each and every one of those quirky characters and what they´re up to. But I would strongly advise anyone to watch the movie first!

why tf would, when taking the "public opinion" question as president warren, the press summarize your public perception as being low because the android movement being led through violence so far; warren also concurring and describing it as "extremely violent", when you've been picking 100% peaceful choices while playing as marcus and you've been keeping the opinion stat on the higher end??? is the press and president deliberately lying? if so that is not communicated or signaled at all. and since another journalist can suggest the androids are an intelligent form of life just before that, clearly the press isn't filtered to match a specific white house narrative. the scene is framed as a reaction to your choices in the game so far but it acts like you're on the violent path even if you aren't, in a way that doesn't seem intentional. what happened here? did shooting todd and/or that fleeing TV station worker lower public perception by such a margin that you still fall short of whatever "peacefulness score" the game is checking for in that scene even if your movement has been peaceful? no because there doesn't seem to be an alternate version of this question. my explanation is that, since the game NEEDS the president to think androids are super violent in order for the plot to happen and for the recall camps to make any kind of sense, it simply doesn't account for your choices. accounting for more would land outside the scope of the game, it's a limitation of "multiple path" type of games. the problem is they did an awful job of hiding that here, it's extremely clunky. either the exchange needed to be written differently or there should have been two different takes, one for the violent movement and one for the pacifist.
