Yup for sure that’s important. But can always do a little more to make movements better.

You’ve literally never met a coach who has worked with any woman before that can’t do a full push up yet apparently.
It’s the same concept as an eccentric only chin up. You get a ton of strength and growth from just doing the eccentric so this in combination to other parts of a program gets people who can’t do a push YET to be able to do one.

@@foamiteblues would love to hear your thoughts. Based off how some people’s femur glides in the joint some individuals have no issue with this and it allows them to hit depth pain free and then others if pain occurs when butt wink is present then it’s a different strategy. When you look at the research too there is no strong correlation to pain either way. And if load management is done properly the tissues do in fact adapt to this. It is again a case by case basis when looking at such things. And as a coach it is important to adapt to the client and how they respond.
Also there is the many cases where stronger more compressed individuals will present with a butt wink with no added load but once load is added it disappears. The purpose of this drill is to expose the body to deeper ranges so that in time we can begin to increase load and training.

Absolutely not. As one who has coached tons of people and gotten all of them to either improve relationship with food and or improve body composition alongside that you would be incorrect. When it comes to fat loss and tracking macros and calories little things like this stack up and can stall people from reaching their goals. And if someone were to have an ED your language would exacerbate the issue.
Going slow is better as it forces your muscles to work harder. So in other words “daddy chill” lmao
You are right but this was meant for explosive movements, so different purpose lol. However for building muscle you are correct
If this movement was intended for hypertrophy I totally agree with you. But this move is strictly for power development. Since the movement over the machine has very little eccentric component it would be poor choice for a hypertrophy move.

If you have access to these they help immensely! If not a paused speed bench will help a lot too!

How effective of a workout is it using this machine? Don't see any other equipment that could replicate the movement. Curious if it is a worthy investment?
I have not found a piece that hits rotation with as much force as this does. If you can get your hands on it I would but the company is so hard to get in contact with.
