Thanks for sharing i am considering moving to Georgia from New Jersey with my kids. Would my kids qualify for medicaid soon as we get there or they would have to live there for couple of years to qualify

This seems to only be based on children. What about adults needing to be in nursing homes!?

What about straight medicaid that isn't managed I finally got my ssi but they took my peachstate away and gave me straight medicaid it wasn't a choice I am having such a hard time and no one can help me I have the medicaid and ssi but some of my dr don't take it I can't reach anyone ect.... do u have any advice??

This is such a tough time I’ve applied for SSI twice and been denied but I’m waiting on an interview for Katie Beckett in a few more days. My employer health insurance doesn’t cover speech or occupational therapies because they have an exclusion in the plan for nerve damage & developmental delays and they just flat out don’t offer ABA. It’s like I’m too rich to be poor and too poor to be rich..feels like my son is being punished and it’s not like I have a 6 figure job. Your video is helpful for future next steps depending on the outcome. Are there any additional resources you recommend? I’m in Georgia by was of Clayton County.

Working with students with special needs throughout the state of Georgia. I've seen some bad and good practices. Mrs. Dawsey is truley an example of what a special education should model. That all students can learn by exposing them to the curriculum. Good Job!
