Does the dye stain things over time? Like your car seat or something that the jacket can rub on

my pre distressed wested cowhide looks fake up close so I darkened it with Fieblings dk brown pro dye then detailed it with medium brown vintage gel, used painting sponges and q tips, make sure you wipe off the excess after applying. also a panel at a time is the way to go for consistency. Looks fantastic and it wrinkled a bit, very nice.
I have a goat jacket that would not take traditional abrasive weathering so I painted it using various coloured leather creams and that turned out very nicely. It goes to show that there's more than one way to skin a cat.

I have the Wested Leather Raiders jacket and when I tried to distress it, it had more gray undertones rather than that nice lighter brown. Is there a specific Wested Leather jacket you’d recommend for distressing to have that same lighter brown look other than the Raiders Jacket?
The best leather that Wested offer for weathering in my opinion are the Legacy Last Crusade leather and the shrunken lamb (dyed dark brown). If you have grey undertones just rub tan shoe Polish or dye into them to get a nice warm brown.
How much?
Does adding a coat of pecards darken an Indy jacket at all?
Pecards will darken a light jacket but not a dark jacket. Also it will eventually fade and need new applications but it is a good way to get medium term changes to the colour

Hi there! I had exactly the same problem. The jacket is great but is totally grey, did you find a solution or something to do with it to change the colour to a dark brown tone? Thanks!
If you have grey undertones don't panic. Once you have completed your weathering just go over the exposed grey areas with tan shoe polish or dye.
I just dyed my jacket with the eco-flo water stain! I start distressing it tomorrow. Once it's done, do you recommend using any type of sealer? I didn't know if the stain needed to be sealed to keep it from transferring or if this stain stays well put on its own. To clarify, I'm not worried about the stain rubbing off naturally to create more weathering - I just don't want the stain to transfer onto other items that I brush against. Any advice on this?
I've never had an issue with dye transferring or fading so I do not use any sealers that could potentially add stiffness to the leather.

My legacy crusade did the same - applying mink oil to the areas I worked on helped bring out the copper undertone
Tan shoe polish or dye is a good option to warming up grey undertones
I bought a custom made jacket I has made up I should have asked for distressed leather!

I am in possession of this great goatskin jacket since today, I am 178 centimeters tall, and weigh 78-79 kilograms, and size 42 fits perfectly, I also have the light cow leather version, since the leather is firmer, size fits me 44 perfect. Greetings from Germany :-)

I have been trying for a month to get this company to respond to my emails. Have sent them seven emails, to the address they list on their web site, and not one word in return. Very disappointed!
meh1943 Peter, the man behind the design of the original Indy jackets, died in October. I believe the company is temporarily closed for business.
I found out from them recently after they publicly posted the sad news about the gentleman's death.
I had mine for a while too, still looks good. I had to have the lining replaced and got that done by US Wings. They did an awesome job.
