The motor mount does need a little trimming. I would stick with the plastic outshafts if you are going to upgrade the motor. The metal one just breaks the drive cups and then you have to replace the diffs. Aluminum bulkheads are great with shims. I've been running mine now for 2 years on the same diffs. Aluminum axle carriers are a good upgrade as well. I'm running 26/54 gearing, and I had to drill a hole so the pinion gear didn't hit the cover. on 3s it's stupid fast, but 2s is much more manageable.

the esc was not even attacked to the car, and its nickel on lipo mode would only have short run time, but on 3s, I hit 62 mph the other day. Its so damn fast lol. I will video it so yall can see it scream.

Don't do it it sucked. Gorilla tap or fiberglass tape and shoe goo is way better but a little more work. The paint just chipped off and really didn't give it any protection

It's the same 48pitch as the 1/16th erevo I got the hot racing 54t and 23 pinion. He motor plate hole at the bottom just needs to be worked with a little to get the screw holes to line up .

And any 48 pitch pinion. I tried a few 18 to 26 and went with the 23t. But you will have to cut a little piece out of the gear cover so it fits other wise if you go own to a 16t you don't have to remove any material on the cover

Mount the brushed one? Idk I think power hobby sells a metal motor cover I haven't bought it yet but if I do I will let you know how it works otherwise you could drill out the motor plate holes

Hot racing has them they add a lot of weight

Amazon I don't use them anymore tho the dual pick up works just fine. They worked great for 6 or 7 packs and then they would stop. When they stop, they don't let water through.

It slows down a considerable amount suddenly, leaving enough power to get back to shore when the batteries are at low voltage

Amazon. I took them out tho. They worked great but if the pump motor goes out there is no water flow. I have found if surface water temp is below 80 degrees I dont have any temp problems. The metal water cooling jacket was key and dual rudder pickup

I got squar bolts and thumb screws from hardware store and heated the bolt and press it in a little squar chunk of 1/4" cutting board them used shoe goo to stick it in

@raul muyrong 6s with battery's more forward or 4s with batteries all the way in the back works for me. And the traxxas batteries work great for me and there warranty is really nice. Within a year they will replace for free if not damaged

I used a round file but a drill bit would work. I just open up the line a little all the way around it

So far the drive cups have been the weak link. I put back in the plastic out drive shafts and I break one around of those every other battery pack but better than the diff. yeah way too much power but crazy fun

The gears have not been my problem but the drive cups break a lot for me. so I went back to plast and replacing the shafts is a lot easier than the diff for me. If you are striping gears shims ( 8x12x.2 and 4x6mm kyosho shims) I think and the hobbywing aluminum diff works great, I just had to get extra screws cuz it was missing 2.

Where do u find the shims I made some, I'd like better ones

I think Amazon or ebay kinda expensive for what the were if I remember

The motor mount plate holes are a little off. you have to drill out the long hole a little to widen it but yeah other than that fit right in.

Yep boats like to be light to go fast. The big battery has about a 14 to 15 min run time and the smaller one run about 12min. I only saw a drop in speed buy 2 mph but it is much harder to flip meaning less retrieving it. The prop in this video as all bent that's why it was so slow. But on a calm day i get 54 with hot racing brace prop sharpened and balanced.
