Jordi spontaneously decides to accompany me for my community singing number at Maria and Rhiannon's wedding, and succeeds in drowning me out despite the fact I am the one with a PA!

Jordi and I performing Packing Blankets by Mark Everett at Maria and Rhiannon's wedding. Not much of it but it was such a great occasion It's good to have a reminder.

Unique footage of the Yattendon village pageant from the early thirties (probably 1934): my mum (Jean Bosley) appears briefly as one of a group of dancing girls.

Im still looking for Dylan
Amazing footage! Did you shoot this and do you own this footage? So cool! :)
Think it was 1969 when the Who's helicopter flew low over the crowd with a big bulging net full of cigs which was released and the cigs fell on us like a nicotine blizzard. Benson & Hedges if memory serves...which it probably doesn't...I was 18 at the time. I'm 71 now.
Made me smile so much and made me laugh it just made my day Thank you
Great clip of FREE. Thanks for posting this
I was there!! Jeepers nearly 70
The Free footage yeah. I wonder if Freddy Mercury was there? Poor Dylan expected to deliver something meaningful. Like it would have made the slightest bit of difference.
Great footage. Wish I had taken a camera. Is that the Broughton's in the initial pan across the stage - Arthur on base, Steve bashing hell out of the drums and Rob sauntering on as the shot pans back with his guitar round his back?
In his 80s now
Does anyone remember the one in 1964 on a farm at the back of the Isle of Wight , I went to it there were thousands there? it was a folk festival.
Great footage of 69, I have just uploaded on RUclips 'Isle of Wight Festival sculpture' collecting the hand prints of musicians who performed 1968-1970
Ignore the URL, now defunct - 69ers, the novel of the festival, can now be found at www.iow69.wordpress.com.

This vid starts off with the UK's first big festival in 1969 - you seem to have forgotten about IOW 1968!
1969 was on another scale altogether and involved overnight camping - but 68 is not forgotten as you'll see if you read 69ers (see iow69.wordpress.com/)
THE FILM WOULD BE REAL WORTH A LOT ======IF YOU HAD DYLAN =======ON IT
why does this exist?
that is Free about starting @ .22 correct?
Well spotted, it is.
Peter McFarlane 1 second ago I am the guy at 0.8 with folded arms looking bemused. Sorry but I have little recollection of that blessed weekend but it is coming up for 50 years ago and many summers have passed. The one strong memory is The Band playing interminably and Dylan coming on ( at last ) for what seemed about 40 mins. Apart form that everything has been erased. I was 19 years old and had no sense of history. Thank goodness these small scraps of film survive. But I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now. Read more REPLY
Thanks for this Peter. I was 14. I know we all like to glamorise that time, but you weren't the only one looking bemused or bored! In the climactic scene of my novel 69ers the main characters are under the stage for that Band performance. Despite their greatness I remember a lot of impatience for Dylan.

Wonderful, cheers mate
Jimi Hendrix in front of a3 foot fence . the Beatles were with him and none of the Bothered them
Amazing footage of Free. Sensational stuff. Do you have any more of Free that you could share?.
That's it I'm afraid. They're featured in the novel though.
I love a stinky finger
My Grandfather (Harry) Burnett Gammer was in this production and my father David Burnett Gamer was born on the day this film was made 9th June 1934.
Re the huge tent at the back - this was allegedly the biggest marquee in the UK at the time, erected by the standfitter Captain Lewis. I remember seeing it collapse. Its use as a dorm for the tentless is recorded in 69ers (now republished as ebook When Dylan Sank the Isle of Wight).
I don't see any Dylan footage
We were near the front We could see the Beatles + Yoko in front. there was only a 3 ft plastic fence separating us
The Huge tent at the back of the crowd was for people who had little cover. People sat on its Roof. You could hear ripping canvas and someone fell through the canvas on the last day the whole lot collapsed !!!

thanks John for sharing this
I have some audio of the 69 IOW show.
HELP BOB SINK THE ISLAND
I was there. its sad about your father.theres a forum and book etc on you tube by someone which would be good to get in touch with, but when I tried you couldnt just leave a comment , you had to give mjq gbh imf and all sorts of acronyms and have a degree in i.t. to get in touch, which is a bit ironic given the celebration of , to me , better and less complicated times.
My novel about the 1969 festival comes out on Bob's 70th birthday - 24 May. See dylan69.com.
A couple of the tracks are on Self Portrait. Vids of most songs are on youtube. But none are of great quality, either the performance or the recordings.
