Timestamp: 27:30 (Shared a tip) As I have mentioned if you travelling from Kandy to Ella and If you are opting for 2nd class I would recommend boarding the train from Peradeniya (5-10 Km away from Kandy City) rather than Kandy. This will give you best chance of getting a seat. If not 1st class is the ideal one. Another tip discussed around 1:50 Which side will give you best views whether you are travelling from Ella to Kandy or Kandy to Ella. Hope this helps!

For reservation you can book hostels, hotels or AirBnb. There are multiple website like booking.com, mmt. There are aggregators as well. Arrival Card always requires first accommodation details.

Regarding examination I am really not sure. However you can contact high commission of Sri Lanka in Delhi at Tel : 0091 11 23010201, 23010202, 23010203 Fax : 0091 11 23793604 Email : slhc.newdelhi@mfa.gov.lk For funds, usually they don’t ask for any proof. At least I have not heard anything. But in case they do ask you can very well show account balance or currency notes in USDs if you are carrying… All the best for your exams…

Yellow fever vaccination is typically relevant for travellers coming from or going to certain high-risk African countries. Indian citizens who are living in those countries or OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) holders may need a yellow fever certificate for travel. You need not to have it as I presume you will be travelling from India. Thank you... 1. You can discuss with the airlines as well regarding transit visa. I would recommend having an eTA because it is anyways FREE. To answer your query further yes, Transit visa is FREE. Rates are mentioned at: eta.gov.lk/slvisa/visainfo/fees.jsp 2. Depends when you are arriving in Colombo. There is not point of going out If it is between 9 PM-9AM. All of the places will be closed and you will have to arrange cab(online/offline) as shuttle express bus will not be operational. PS: Colombo Airport is not in Colombo. It is around 45-50 Kms away from the city in a place called Negombo. Takes around an hour by bus and 40-45 mins by cab roughly from city center based to traffic. Hope this helps.

Ideally yes…whenever you will book flights you can apply for eTA. Usually it takes not more than half an hour.
