    BTW, I have used this case for a year. I have an ATX Power Supply like you have, with a Gigabyte AORUS B450 Pro Wifi motherboard and an MSI 1660 Super OC Mini. You'd think this case will have temp porblems because of its size, and to me and my brother's surprise it's incredibly efficient. I will say though, that this case does have problems with doing components upgrade. Once you've assembled the parts, even putting in a SATA SSD is a task and a half 😅. What it does well though isbeing able to efficiently use that tiny space and making your PC look like a Console, I've traveled with my PC a lot, it is a bit heavy, but to me it's damn near perfect.

    Great review; I've already ordered one ahead of time before watching your video however I had a good feeling that this had all of the elements that I was seeking in a controller. Some of the others that I have tried and returned promptly have been: 8 bit do pro 2 (hall effect version): Wow was this controller a letdown; how it can be that my 5+ year old 8 bit do SN30 pro plus (previous version) has much smoother control and better precision is beyond me, but besides that the left trigger on this new pro 2 was already malfunctioning. I feel like the quality control on 8 bit do products have been slipping and I'm close to giving up on them in most cases. Gamesir G7SE: This one was actually a really nice controller with an excellent left analog stick that needed no adjustments out of the box; it's wired only but that's actually my primary method for gaming. Only problem was that it was recognized as an Xbox One controller with no option to switch to a different mode, and as such for my usage it did not align well for button configurations, which is some cases there isn't a workaround. Face buttons were membrane and not mechanical but they still felt good and were responsive. 8 bit do ultimate: Average performance and had a problematic issue of dropping the signal when in XINPUT, and I was using it wired; the firmware update did not fix the issue either as indicated; nice interface with the ultimate software but kind of a mediocre feedback and product. So I'm hoping that this one can provide the analog stick performance comparable with the Gamesir G7SE and also have better compatibility; the mechanical face buttons are a nice bonus and I'm looking forward to playing any of my three click golf games (wired of course) to determine the response times. Form factor looks good to me also, and a nice clean looking visual profile.

    • @shiningphantasy1393
      @shiningphantasy1393 3 месяца назад

      @@DumbDownTech I gave it a test run today with a few games that I use as benchmarks. The left analog stick is what I hoped it would be as in very smooth and stable and not twitchy feedback like I have noticed with lesser controllers. Face buttons are fine and respond well, but I'll have to test them out with a few more games in different situations. Analog triggers feel good so no complaints there. D-pad I think it depends on the genre of game; I do like how it is elevated and it has a lot of free movement, rather than feeling mashed in. The d pad is more than sufficient for 2D platformers, shmups, JRPG's, and probably most other 2D genres. 2D fighting games there would be better options like a Retrobit Genesis or Saturn pad; I did think that the Easy SMX did just fine with 3D fighters which are more focused on d-pad tapping instead of more frequent rotating circular motions, and of course most 3D fighters only require the four face buttons. There is probably only one notable thing that I find to be mediocre about this controller, is that I don't like the feel of the L/R buttons and also how they are placed doesn't really fit my hands all that well. All things considered though that drawback is a minor one and this controller is a keeper; hopefully it is durable. I don't really put much stress on controllers and also I have many models that get utilized for various purposes, which is probably why my old 8 bit do SN30 Pro Plus still functions like it has barely any miles on it.

    • @DumbDownTech
      @DumbDownTech 3 месяца назад

      Thank you so much for letting me know what you thought of this controller. I agree it's not perfect but I have never found any controller to be 100% perfect for every game, there will always be some compromises. I like you, hope this controller is durable as I hate chopping and changing controllers, once I'm comfortable with one, that's it I'm in for the long haul with it.

    • @shiningphantasy1393
      @shiningphantasy1393 3 месяца назад

      @@DumbDownTech Since I like this controller and was browsing other models from the same company I took a flier on a more budget option, the Easy SMX 9100pro. At 20 dollars it doesn't have the more premium build quality or mechanical buttons however I like the d pad and L/R buttons better and the triggers are more than satisfactory. Face buttons even though not mechanical have just as good of response time as the X10. Analog stick is not hall effect but the control level is very good and better than some controllers with hall-effect sticks, like the 8 bit do pro 2 for example. Just thought I'd mention this in the case you wanted a budget option as for 20 dollars it is very nice value for the asking price; it is a wired only controller which may be a deal breaker for some.

      @DumbDownTech 3 месяца назад

  • @trsskater
    @trsskater 4 месяца назад

    They use molex because sata doesn't have as high max wattage as molex. That's also why you'll see a max of 40 LEDs per port on controller that use only SATA or in Lian Li's new controller they use 2 SATA cables so you can use 4 of their fans per port. And Corsair does it a different way by making you have to add a sata at the end of a chain if it's too long even though the control already has sata power. I do understand how it does suck to pull molex back from the grave.

    • @DumbDownTech
      @DumbDownTech 3 месяца назад

      @@DumbDownTech I have seen some controllers that use a PCIe 6 pin connector to power it. That could be a good way around it. If you have one left over after using 2 for your graphics card. I think the biggest problem is the amount of amps that they draw. They use more to light the fan than is needed to run it at max power haha.

    This was a really good guide that is easy to follow due to your camera angles being clear. But can you report back as to whether or not the repaste was effective at bringing down temps a noticeable or worthwhile amount? My son has this exact same GPU and it is getting very hot - to the point that Helldivers 2 is causing it to BSOD at 75C. I'm thinking a repasted thermal layer might be due, but I don't fancy doing it if the temps wont really improve much.

    • @DumbDownTech
      @DumbDownTech 3 месяца назад

      You should not be getting BSOD at 75c there are built in safeguards on the GPU, that if it gets to hot it should thermal throttle, pull the performance of the card back to get the temps under control. I will definitely be putting up the new temp figures for the card as soon as I can get round to building my ITX system, I'm hoping that vid will be up in the next few weeks.

With used hard drives, I would ALWAYS have at least 1 drive redundancy on any array, just so there's time to find and fit a spare before anything else dies and prevent data loss. Other than that, a fine first video. You put a lot of work into managing those cables. Well done.
