How do you knit forward then purled from the left to the right you wouldn’t have had to purl forward and backward.
I truly loved your sheep felted. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you!
Thank you so much! I kept dropping stitches on my Blouse No. 1 Light, and your video stopped me from untinking again
I just want to give you the most heartfelt thank you youve ever had in your life!!! I am a crocheter teaching myself to knit. I feel like I bhave a great grasp on things. I was doing cables on day two, right, but do you think I could fix the most elemental of problems??? H#ll No! And it is always glazed over in videos or poorly written in books. There has been cussing. Lots of the cussing. 😂 For crap sake just explain it people!!! My Lord. I hope youre feeling my frustration here. 😂😂 So you deserve an award, a cookie, a back rub and a yarn shopping spree, woman! Thank youuu so very much. See, im not an idiot. I swear, haha. All it took was one person TO EXPLAIN IT PROPERLY! Novel idea, right?! 💐💐💐💐...these are for you. 🥰🥰
Thank you! That last “wonky” stitch had me puzzled!

So, I've got this vest that I have tried to make 3 times now, and each time I get the left and right panels to the point of joining, the left is 1 or two rows SHORTER than the right. No idea how. So now I'm going to try it again TAAT. This would be my 1st time trying this method. OH! And did I mention that it is in Herringbone stitch?! Cuz I have to make things that much more difficult for myself. Always.
When you are knitting from the bottom up, it is common for one side of a sweater or vest to have one more row than the other when you get to the arm hole. I think this is a matter of convenience because to get them to match perfectly, the patterns for the left and right side would be different. For more of my free tutorials, subscribe to this channel and check out knitalongclub.com/tutorials/.
@knitalongclub but it is a top down vest, not bottom up. Are you saying it's going to be like that even if I do them both at the same time?
@@joanarnold82 I suspect so, but without intimate knowledge of the pattern, I can't be sure. Try knitting them TAAT and see what happens. :)
Thanks so much for a clear demo. I am knitting a baby booty, and it has 25 stitches to begin. According to the instruction, I bind off when I work up to 5 inches, then along one long side of the project, pick up and k30 sts. My question is: how to increase 5 sts. while I am working on the picking up? Thanks so much in advance for your answer.
god THANKS!
This is extremely helpful

Hi! I hope someone can help me with this pattern I’m struggling with. The pattern says: “As soon as you have knitted the last st of the right front, cast on in total 14 | 16 | 16 |18 | 18 | 20) new sts with your preferred cast on method and continue knitting the sts of the left front” I am knitting a sweater and when i cast on in the middle of the row it just leaves me with a big hole in the middle, that I don’t think should be there. 😅 Any idea on how to cast on without having a hole in the middle? Or is there something I’m missing?
Without knowing the pattern, it’s hard to tell for sure. But it sounds like your cast on stitches are the back of the neckline. In other words, they are the top of the back of the sweater. However, unless you are making a baby sweater or using very chunky yarn, the stitch counts seem too small for that to be the case. I hope you get it figured out!
Thanks for the tutorial

SO helpful!
Hello, I am having an issue with a pattern that you might be able to help me with. I'm a little confused on the directions. I'm a new knitter so I need some help. The pattern I am using is an adult hoodie on circular needles. I have started off ok but I am on the pocket now and it tells me to put my work on hold, this I have done but the live yarn is not in a spot to continue using it. Pocket instructions read as follows: Knit 26 sts, place a marker, knit 48 sts, place a marker, knit to the end of rnd. (I have done this), The sts between the markers are the pocket sts. The pocket is knit back and forth in stocking st while the rest of the work is on hold.** From WS cast on an edge st on both sides 50 sts.*(*HOW DO I DO THIS) On RS, k2tog after the starting edge st and k2tog before the dege st at the end of the row. Repeat k2tog on every second row 4 times, and on every forth row 7 times. On last row fron WS cast off edge st on both sides. Put the last 24 sts on hold on a stitch wire. ....
This sounds confusing, and I'm not 100% sure of the answer - especially where it instructs you to "cast on an edge stitch". However, I suspect that you join a new yarn to knit the pocket (that is a typical way to knit pockets). You could try posting this with the pattern name in our FB group, the Virtual Knitting Circle. Maybe someone in that group is familiar with the pattern and could help. facebook.com/groups/virtualknittingcircle

How do you knit right lifted increase purl-wise (RLiP) on the knit side? All the video on RUclips show how to the RLiP on the purl side, but my pattern says to do it on the knit side, and I’m lost 😢
That's an odd increase. I suspect you would do it like I showed for a knitted increase, but instead of knitting the stitch, purl it.
Wow! I have never seen such a cast on. But a tutorial how to knit 2 at a time? Is anyone that slow to need a tutorial about that?????
It's the knitted cast on. One I use a lot. Knitting 2 at a time isn't rocket science, but some people have never thought about knitting that way and it has a lot of advantages. :)
Thank you!!! I was really struggling to understand this concept and this video was very clear. I appreciate you 🎉
Aww, thank you! I appreciate your feedback! If you'd like to learn more, subscribe to my RUclips channel and check out my other knitting tutorials at knitalongclub.com/tutorials/.
I totally agree with you. I like your statement that ripping out our work is part of the craft. I, too, have learned a lot from frogging. When I made my first pair of socks I had difficulty with the heel turn. My friend, who was teaching me, said that she could fix it, but that I wouldn't really learn what I was doing or how to do it correctly. I was sad for a few moments, then I realized she was right. I don't hesitate to un-knit if I have to in my work. I never regret it because I correct my mistakes and move forward. Great Video!!! thank you.
LOL, one of my first lessons on frogging was a pair of toe-up socks. I must have ripped out that first toe 10 times. So much so, I had to cut off the yarn and throw it away because it was wearing out! :)
Hahahaha! I love it! It really is how we learn.@@knitalongclub

One can also use this when you dropped a make 1 L/R I suppose... Will try now!
Yes! You just have to twist it in the appropriate direction.
