Bra, your "honorable mention" is the most important element of the island. The lands, the fresh water, the protection it brings, etc. Also, Maunakea is very sacred to Kanaka. Another sacred place is Waipio where you rated it an 8??? Lots of significant history at Waipio. Your "great snorkeling spot holds very important history where the first foreigner was killed in battle by native Hawaiians. Please be aware that Hawai'i is not your playground or Disneyland. Learn some History!

Great video. Done most of these except new black sand beach. Since you're in good shape and love Waipio, have you kept going on the Muliwai trail into Waimanu valley? It's just as beautiful but more private and secluded.

No one should miss the authentic Japanese Taiyaki (called O’z Kitchen, so new don’t have a google page yet) in Captain Cook. Same spot as Randy’s Huli chicken except Thursday and Friday. Their Taiyaki is the most delicious food I had during my three-week vacation on Big Island.

I've been to this island many times and it's beautiful.
