i dont know the guidelines in austria but here the used TMA model is only allowed on the highways to guard the scene while a arrow trailler is placed. that trailer (you can see it at the start of the video behind the van) is needed to close the lane from the start up to the end during the time the paint needs to dry. the TMA might be overkill during the work, but it still saves money because there is no extra truck needed to carry the TMA. and off course 1 person less on site.

@@plopnl1 My point is that the TMA is supposed to protect the working vehicle right? It would be more effective and safe if their positions were switched would it not? What you see in this video is totally weird.

Unless the TMA is painting, in that case surely you need another attenuator behind the said TMA

@@ronzilathekilla8800 go to my channel and look up the video called ¨3 minuten uit het leven van een pijlwagen¨. there you´l see what i mean, its a comparable roadblock with an arrow board on a trailer. in practice the tma stops on location, the van places the trailer and starts the first 100m of the roadblock, from that moment on the tma can leave the scene and do other things, in this case start painting.
