The Ombudsman for Children's Office Ireland (OCO) is here to make sure that the government and public bodies who make decisions about young people really think about what is best for young people. The things that the OCO can do are set out in a law called the Ombudsman for Children Act 2002.
Child Talks 2024 from the Ombudsman for Children's Office
Child Talks 2024 live from the Helix Dublin in front of an audience of 1,000 young people.
Event starts with DJs Cillian and Rocco, followed by speakers Ben, Bel, Sarah, Anna and Ronan. Topics covered are single parent families, loneliness, young carers, girls in sport and neurodiversity.
Performances from Cillian O'Connor Britain's Got Talen finalist and The Lisdoonvarna crew with viral hit 'The Spark'.
Presented by Mark the Science Guy and past speaker Eoin.

I work as a counsellor and also as a mediator for separating couples. Well done on this video. Young people understand social media. The material in this video shows an understanding of the needs and concerns of young people.
