Not exactly. As a DevOps engineer you should know how to use AI to achieve more and increase your productivity. You should also keep yourself up to date with the latest AI advancements and see how it will benefit your job role. DevOps is not just about building pipelines and automating stuff. It's so much more than that. One critical part is collaborating across multiple teams and stakeholders which AI might not do efficiently, at least for coming few years.
You're the man who has taken these extraordinary steps. This is a million-dollar asset for us. All the very best, brother!

Go definitely gives you an edge. It's a great programming language with lot of opportunities. Based on the Stack Overflow survey; it pays more than Python, popular language among DevOps professionals and many other incentive to learn it. You can read the entire survey here: survey.stackoverflow.co/2024/technology#4-top-paying-technologies. Apart from this I would any day recommend learning something new. But, if you are starting out Python might be easier but Go will make you a good programmer overall which is good for long term.

Why products db is nosql, that's not semi or unstructured data
That's a great point! It's true that product data often appears quite structured at first glance. You have fields like name, description, price, and so on. However, when you delve deeper into the needs of a large e-commerce platform, the lines blur a bit, and NoSQL solutions like Firestore offer advantages. Consider the below example: products/{product_id}: { "name": "T-shirt", "brand": "CoolBrand", "price": 20, "color": "blue", "size": "M", "images": ["image1.jpg"] } Even in this simple example, NoSQL (like Firestore) makes sense because: - You can easily add new attributes (e.g., "material", "sale_price") to products without changing the database structure. - Imagine needing to store different sizes and colors. NoSQL lets you nest this data within the product (e.g., "variations": {"colors": [...], "sizes": [...]}) without complex relationships. Hope this makes sense!
