could someone tell me how many quarts of oil does that engine need? is that I read that it takes four and in autozone they told me the same thing but when I put four, the mark of the rod barely reaches the add, I added another one and then I arrived just above the mark of the add so I decided to add another one by completing six quarts of oil, so I reach the full mark. but I have doubts about whether that dipstick will be from another vehicle so I wonder if someone could tell me what the size of the original dipstick is, how many quarts of oil it takes and how far the mark is supposed to reach them when The engine is full of oil. If you want to help, I will thank you and in case you wish to send a photo of the original dipstick with the oil mark you can ask for my email.

What trans do you use? Mine is a 95 Dakota 2.5L Sport, with a 5Speed manual transmission.

I have a 1988 3.9 V6 5 speed. Just had it fully restored from the frame up and will be adding dual exhaust. Yours sounds awesome. Great work. I know the 318 v8 can go straight in with a few minor mods to fit the fan. I take it you upgraded the transmission too.

Awesome swap. What year is the motor (is this a sequential multi port injected unit?). Just window shopping for a potential power plant for a compact classic car. (and where I live there are a plentiful amount of manual v6 donor cars). It's been difficult finding info on these LA V6 motors, my main concern being reusing and wiring the ECU to run the engine. Any info you could give would be awesome, thanks!

That's pretty cool I have a 96 it is the first year of the AMC 2.5 it is a little better that the k engine that you had. I'm still deciding what to do keep it stock or upgrade cause I get 23 mpg.

awesome swap man. looking to do the same as mine! Glad to see you went with the magnum V6. The regular V6 that came in the older daks just doesn't cut it with around 130Ibs of torque. The 2.5 engine is quite a dog isn't it? Still looking for a magnum v6 myself.
