    Can I ask you a question pls? I just did mine and I'm not to in depth knowledgeable on how engines work but upon moving my lower intake manifold on 2019 grand cherokee laredo I noticed all intake valves were closed except cylinder 5. Does this mean that's just were the timing cycle was when the engine stopped? Or does this indicate a problem? I did pull fuelpump relay and start engine until rail ran out of pressure don't know if that makes a difference

    These injectors are deffinately not plug and play i ordered bosch injectors for my 2019 jeep grand cherokee laredo and they looked exactly the same except the 8 holes in the tip for the bosch ones ( i believe are from the older version pentastar 3.6) were a little more tightly grouped well it made my fuel trim super rich -27 to -33. I would deffinately be carefull when buying injectors for a 3.6 l the injectors for the old version and new look very simalar but fuel output is vastly different

    I have a 2009 Chrysler town and country that will not communicate with drivers door module. The drivers door window switch does nothing only function that works on that door is for the vent windows in the very back of the van. I checked the power and ground at the door module that is good put the wires under a load with a sealed beam work light. I will be testing this out on those 2 can bus wires that go to my door module before I condemn the door module as being the issue thank you for sharing your knowledge this is extremely helpful I was unsure of how to test those 2 can bus wires until I watched this video

    7:11 You have this backwards: generators are DC, alternators are alternating current. A battery is always DC. 8:52 Since eTorque is part of the emissions system it has an 8-year warranty.

    • @ocdauto8794
      @ocdauto8794 4 месяца назад

      Good points . I appreciate the input . Modern service manuals call alternators generators . Also the service info call the hybrid and electric motors a motor generator. The alternator on base model is probably called generator due to the fact that it outputs dc voltage via diodes . Yet the motor generator used in hybrids is typically rectified on the external diode setup . So yes all stators using a magnetic field I am aware of creates an alternating current .

    Hey, appreciate the info on the engine. My wife has one of these -non hybrid-. It’s sitting right around 110k km and it’s starting to have issues. Hers is having an extreme amount of oil consumption. Any experience with something like that or anything of note that might be of concern? Throughout the life of the jeep it had been getting 87 gas only, as per the manual, but I have been putting 91 in and it seems to be more happy with that. TIA

      What’s compression ?

  • @Bearded_Hillbilly
    @Bearded_Hillbilly 4 месяца назад

    My truck does this with a new air filter. Doesn't matter what brand. Oem, fram, k&n. The code stops coming up when your after is dirty. The only thing going on is that ram engineers can't get it right. It stopped for a year and then I put a new air filter in and it throws codes again every time I'm at low load. Freeze frame shows 30% throttle every time. The maf sees toouch air compared to the boost it sees. If you restrict the airflow your codes go away and don't come back. That glue isn't changing anything. Get the cheapest, lowest flowing air filter you can and your problem will go away. Then don't change the air filter. This POS Cummins hates maintenance. Change the oil and leave it alone.

    • @ocdauto8794
      @ocdauto8794 4 месяца назад

      I can’t disagree. The tuning of this motor is not great . I suspect the maf placement is the issue .

    Correct me if I’m wrong, what I understood was bad solenoid would equal high oil pressure all the time? I seen another video that was contradicting. • @ocdauto8794

    • @ocdauto8794
      @ocdauto8794 5 месяцев назад

      The scan tool has a feature under active tests to look at crank sensor speed changes . If it sees a higher or lower rpm that indicates a change in compression . Won’t find small leaks like the gen 3 head gasket .

    • @ocdauto8794
      @ocdauto8794 5 месяцев назад

      Well if you have an open circuit then the ground side of injector at pcm connector will be 0 volts . This is not easy to test this way so ohming out is easier . This is just my opinion and perform at own risk .

    My father still uses a huge old SUN engine analyser, swears by it. I might have to get one of these to add to my tools. As for the fault, I'm not too familiar with the j series so all i can suggest is look for air leaks? It seems to be just affecting the rear bank whatever it is. Possible cam belt misalignment? I'm not sure if there's any intake switchover valves on these engines. Maybe even pcv related. Assuming you already looked at o2 sensors/cats.
