I have a startup screen problem, after hitting the corner of the laptop accidentally. It sometimes start in white screen with all the startup noises, and sometimes it shows everything normally in blue. What connection could be loose to cause this?

I've a G7-2217cl that possibly needs it's bottom cover replaced. Left side will not close flush despite screw all in the way inside. Either hinge and or bottom cover broken inside. Better to buy new than buying 10 year old replacement part(s)?
