Ever heard of the United States of America? Over there racism is a systemic phenomenon which means that (especially in the South) cops and civil servants are racist with the blessing of the population. As a colored person you have to fear for you life during a traffic stop. Those cops do notice your skin color and act accordingly in a violent way. Colored people nagging about Dutch racism and prejudice act like a bunch of spoiled children without realizing how the world outside the Netherlands looks like in terms of racism and superficial prejudice. You guys act like spoiled children. And no, I'm not a racist. I've always played in multicultural bands and ignoring someone's skin color doesn't automatically mean ignoring or rejecting his or her (native) culture. I feel blessed to have been born and live in the Netherlands and you should too. Go take a three month vacation in the Southern United States and experience the real world. Experience what bigotry and racism really means for those people who were so unfortunate to have been born in America and come back home after that and we'll talk further.

Unfortunately racism and especially against black people is still today prevalent. The tax office ethnic profiling, Geert Wilders come to mind.The Dutch were and still a nation of traders. They took advantage of the West India Company and traded with Africans for many years. When slavery was abolished in 1865, all slavers were compensated for their loss, but not the slaves. I think from this period that the Dutch never could accept the end of slavery. That (Some) still have a score to settle. I live amongst descendants of slaves in a rural area in the Caribbean.

Claiming the country of The Nederlands, and the Dutch white people in general, are racists and intolerance against non-white people. And even saying white Dutch people have a DNA of slavery in their blood ? OMG... how racist is that. Don't you all even realize what you are saying yourself ?

I want to make one point very clear: Racism IS always discrimination, but vice versa discrimination is NOT always racism. It's both bad and sad for sure. But to adress these issues by trying to ban it from society, you DO have to point out what kind of discrimination you're dealing with. Skin colour differences, cultural differences, religio differences etc. etc. all need a (whole) different kind of approach to resolve.

But they are racist, i'm sorry to say, too many just are which causes problems if you are no white in this country. Yes there are beautiful white souls in the netherlands, i'm the last one to deny that. I know and have known beautiful souls of white people who i actually love, having said that the Netherlands is terminally ill when it comes to racism. I was born here and i know exactly how they think. On applications when they are being filled in people with muslim or african names just fill in their initials, why? because if you don't that white racist person judging you application won't give you a fair shake just because of your name, i know this because i do it myself. Don't ask a white person in the Netherlands about the racism here, ask the ones walking that walk, they will tell you exactly what the shot is, i mean they celebrate black face for god's sakes. Racism in the Netherlands is subtle and its improving everyday. Just google these terms, racisme rijksoverheid, PVV, toeslagen affaire, Memet Yildirir.. there are many more examples.. So to the question ''Is the Netherlands racist" f**k yeah, you can call me out on it any day of the week, i'll make my case, i'm an expert on racism in the Netherlands.

Welcome to their world. I really don't believe there is any white country that welcomes black people. If it does exist, it's a secret. I personally am not a fan of Europe, nor do I feel the need to live or be around them. Portugal and Italy is the worst.

Here in the UK it's true that black people are often treated badly by police but I wonder if black people here ever consider that it might be because they are mostly POOR that they are treated badly: because the main issue in the UK is not race but CLASS but for some reason the left think it's race.
