The soul went out of New Order when they shat on Hooky. If you want to see these songs played with the heart and passion they deserve, go see Peter Hook and the Light. If you want to see a soulless big venue and a competent band going through the motions, go see New Order.

Thanks for putting these videos up Naomi - I was there down in front of the stage. The last time I saw them was about 1984, right miseries as they refused to do an encore as the resident DJ pissed them off. Before that was in Birmingham about 1978 (as Joy Division) supporting the Buzzcocks.

Love Will Tear Us Apart sounds more like Wake up by Arcade Fire, Stick to the New Order songs please.

Idk if I just had bad luck, but I was in row 213 and the audio quality was bad af, everything sounded way too loud and distorted

damn. Just did some checking. Yup, I saw The Cult in 1987... Guns N Roses opened up for them, just before they blew up a little later with "Appetite For Destruction". I remember seeing the lead singer for this Guns N Roses opening act and noticing he was wearing bright blue eye shadow. I remember "Welcome To The Jungle", but nothing else. And The Cult was great. The floor was General Admission Standing Room Only and I was about ten feet from the stage, in a tight mass of sweaty guys, and some girls. Good times. Good times.

Voice so strong still..

I saw them live in the Sonic Temple tour. Still one of the best live shows I’ve ever seen. Billy Duffy has one of the greatest live and recorded rock guitar tones ever.
