I fight with fatigue a lot- I'm a few years shy of 70 and while in decent health, I'm tired. But, I think I used all my energy up in my first 60 years!! 😊 But I'll fight as long as I can and I DO have good days. I found a really nice church, not too far away so, I'm saying publicly that I'M GOING on Sunday! (this way I don't let my fatigue give me an excuse)! @ Thank you so much, Kevin. I went today and I spoke briefly with the Pastor- he's very good friends with Pastor John MacArthur, who brought me to Christ in 2020.. on RUclips! John MacArthur has been the Pastor of Grace Community Church in Sylmar, CA, for 53 years. Amazing- maybe you know of him. He doesn't seek the spotlight but he's found himself in it many times. Anyway, he's been quite ill for a while now- 4 surgeries I think, the last being a heart valve replacement. That's tough on a 30 year old but he's 85 or so? I pray for him. He's such a good man- the very first Pastor I ever believed. Sorry to go on and on but he's very special to me so, being Pastored by his good friend who lives here in Idaho is a wonderful privilege. The folks at my new church are terrific and you are so right, I need them. Thank you again for your support- it means a lot and thank you for your ministry. You're helping lots of people. People falling away and coming toward Christianity seems to be happening, simultaneously these days. We live in truly amazing times. Again, may God Bless you, yours & your ministry, Kevin. Dear Christine, That's a profound question, and it's one that has been discussed by theologians for centuries. Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us that "by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." This indicates that salvation is a gift from God, granted through faith, not something we earn by our actions. However, as James 2:17 points out, "faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead." This means that true faith naturally produces good works. So, while obedience is not the requirement for salvation, it is indeed the result of it. Our good works and obedience are an expression of our faith and gratitude for God's grace.
