imo Harry was the most talented of the 5. He had the best vocal range and by far the most soulful delivery and stage presence. Liam might have had the smoother voice and more perfect pitch, but his delivery was over rehearsed and lacked soul. Same goes for Malik - smooth voice but limited range and lack of power. He always seemed angry or at least unhappy to be there. And it seems that was the case as he was very standoffish. His range did improve significantly as the years went by. D1 was an amazing opportunity for them all in so many ways, not the least of which is it made them all VERY wealthy which gave them the financial freedom to pursue their individual dreams after the band split up. As they mature and look back, they will all realize how truly lucky they were despite being over-managed and having to compromise on their prefered music genres to some degree. D1 made it possible to build careers as adults pursuing what they truly loved. It's a pity Payne had such difficulty making the transition and his preferred coping method likely resulted in his passing way too young. RIP

Harry is the coolest one out of all them and a true G. Never talks bad about the band or lets people make him embarrassed for his music.
