MC5 - Let it Rock (Helsinki, 1972) A cover of the Chuck Berry tune by what was left of the MC5. Fred 'Sonic' Smith's vocals and guitar playing are a real treat on this one. Line-up: Wayne Kramer - Guitar, Vox Fred 'Sonic' Smith - Guitar, Vox Richie Dharma - Drums Derek Hughes - Bass, Vox
That might be the best Chuck Berry cover I've ever heard.
Interesting. Around the same time, Bob Seger covered this song on his Smoking OPs album and Detroit featuring Mitch Rider also covered this tune a year or two earlier.
who's the drummer ??
Ritchie Dharma.
Forever hero’s🔥🔥🤘 we need the mc5 in todays society
Fenomenalno!!!
Louder
Long live the MC5
This isn’t the mc5 . It only has two of its original members playing with three other people.

Quel groove ❤
You can tell by Wayne and Fred’s body language that they know the end of the band is near. Rob and Dennis had both quit after the England shows, Michael was a full blown junkie and felt that scoring heroin was a bigger money maker than the band which left Wayne and Fred the last men standing. They were so far ahead of their time that somehow they passed themselves and got lost in the process. And now they are all gone. I can only hope that they are the house band at the great Grande Ballroom in the Sky.
I was at Russ gibb house with Wayne It was the last time they talked. I cared for Russ in his final years. His mind was sharp and the stories were great
And that's how Berry should be played.
Let is rock, en plus violent, c'est celui ci qu'in faut mettre s'il vous plaît. Merci 😊🎉
soo tight!
RIP Wayne.

Wayne Kramer is a legend and he will be sorely missed
How did they ever get through Customs !
That drummer looks like he rode with Genghis Khan.
😂👍
Stones’ live versions from ‘72 and ‘78 blow these guys away.
"If it sounds good to you, it's bitchin'; if it sounds bad to you, it's shitty." Frank Zappa
