Note this happened in the full daytime, despite appearances.

Clay and Gessner here. A neighbor’s home weather station recorded winds going from 5 mph to 104 in a matter of seconds. And that was before the rain hit.

water looks cold and the stone beach reminds me of Trestles, or barbwire CA.

It got a LOT darker in Houston during the derecho than it did in Dallas during the total eclipse!

The thing is, this was like 5 or 6 in the afternoon. It was so incredibly dark. 3rd storm like that this month.

Hey I think what you do is awesome. Today (march 25th) was my first day surfing and I managed to catch a couple solid waves after our second session that started around 5:45. I believe I was the only person out there who didn’t have a shirt on. I would really appreciate some pictures or a video for my parents if there’s any chance you have any. I was fairly close to the Jeti maybe 50 yards off of it.
