They are breaking agreements that were made. There were amendments to make it barrier free and above poverty levels, they kept neither by tying it to the DTC and being only $200.00. They should be sued. I'm on CPPD ($1000/month) and feel like a burden having my husband supporting me, when CPPD should be at the least at minimum wage. People are already having trouble getting the DTC that's a huge barrier. We bought a home because we were in a bad rental situation. All we could afford needs a ton of work. Guess what, Enridge will help the disabled but only those on SA, they won't help people on CPPD, I wish someone would bring attention to this. With the costs going up so much my husband had to switch from local to long haul, which means my main support is now gone and we have a house that needs a lot of fixing up. Between bills with all these added fees, gas, food costs, mortgage, property tax and house insurance, it's hard to keep up. My husbands work has stagnant wages thanks to the amount of immigrating truck drivers. They work cheap for PR and because of that can get the contracts, causing the other companies to not be able to raise wages to compete. $500.00 in taxes comes off every weekly paycheck he makes, that do nothing to help us directly. This country is a mess. Thank you for bringing attention to the broken amendments.

Hello Dave, this is Ryan Nealon. I’ve been a disabled Canadian. Since 1981, February 27, 1981 was the day I came into existence. I have a question for you. I have a intellectual dis I cannot read since birth. What is considered of being intellectual disability. I also have mild to moderate CP mild to moderate to severe. I can’t remember what it is but I am ambulatory meaning I can walk but when I’m filling out my tax forms you know and if you’re on assistance, I I live in Alberta. And I get it disabled pension. It’s not much of one, but you know I would like to bring up an issue that my my family faces every year With the nonrefundable tax credits and stuff like that if my my mother is now retired I am 43 years old you know and there’s no ability to claim the expenses that you honestly need because I’m I have yet to be able to find work and that’s strictly due to my disability. What other services are out there for Canadians and why are we not a top priority for evenjob creation I haven’t. I have education part of the issue is a lot of the education I have is not recognized.

Why not bring the disabled up to the poverty level so they can also put money back into the economy $200 is a real disappointment

The goverment has done no work on the CDB it was only an attempt to secure votes leading into the next election. Now that this will most certainly fail the CDB will most likely be scraped as it is only regulation and not legislation. Remember I told hou so.
