Edwin Binney's Community Farm & Education Centre

Welcome to Edwin Binney's Community Farm & Education Centre!
EBCF&EC is a 3.5-acre community food security initiative and collaborative project between the United Way for the City of Kawartha Lakes, Crayola, and Fleming College. Located in the beautiful town of Lindsay, the heart of the City of Kawartha Lakes the farm grows everything from apples to zucchini.
Since it's creation in 2019 the farm has grown and donated over 74,000lbs of produce! It's not just growing food, but also helping to grow minds and helping many individuals develop marketable skills in a variety of industries. Each year hundreds of students from local public schools visit to learn about food systems, we also offer high school students co-op opportunities. Partnering with Fleming College's Sustainable Agriculture program also offers their students the opportunity to put their theory into practice.

They are! A fairly quick to harvest romaine style of lettuce, sweet and tender as well.
