I am very curious as to what you do for a living. I would guess an engineer with how intricate this setup was. Very amazing. Few things impress me and this is by far superb attention to detail.
This tank was only up for around two months. It was taken down about a week after this video was made. The blue light from the aquarium was causing me blurry vision/migraines.
I don't have the lines of code anymore. I set the system to turn all recurcuilating pumps down to a few percent of normal speed. This way the food delivered would not go down the overflow. Then I set the DOS to pump the liquid into the tank. It was a bit of trial and error to get the correct mL. When I was setting it up I used water so I would not waste food. I kept increasing the amount of liquid delivered until it hit the end of the tube. Then I added the mL of food I wanted to deliver. Once that was all set I programmed the DOS to run backwards to take the food that was in the lines and put it back in the fridge. I did find after a bit of use some of the food would get stuck in the lines and on the end of the tube. If I were to do it over I would have added a tee right after the DOS and hooked it up to a pump with saltwater to flush the remaining food after the DOS out of the tube. I would have set that to run right after the DOS reversed the food back into the fridge. There are some videos on RUclips on how to set this up. Hope this helps.
@@blakeq2006 I’ll have a look cheers wad the programming for the reverser part of the set up I’m not shore about but will have a look on RUclips thanks a lot buddy
Would love an update!! Hope everything is doing well! I’d like to setup the fridge I bought to use with my DOS for feeding. Haven’t gotten around to it yet. I Need to learn how to run it in reverse to put the food back into the fridge after it runs.
@@blakeq2006 aww no!!!! Won’t be rude and ask why. Sorry to hear I hope you restart again since you have all the right gear and such a great space for everything.
Hey nice lab! Just found your channel so maybe you’ve already done this, but for your C02 scrubber: one of the best improvements I’ve ever made so far as ROI has been a recirculating skimmer. The media lasts nearly 10x longer. I have the same scrubber as you. That’s what the other input is for. Seeing your sophisticated system I’d bet you’ve already implemented this. Chris at LAX was awesome. Where I got my current tank before shipping it cross country. Most of the same equipment as you as well, but I love your metal controller boards. And everything else.
wow very nice setup a little overkill with neptune i never ever so someone with so much neptune dose great job very clean love the fish room. dream Tank
Have couple of Questions. 1. What do u do for living? 2. How much money do u have in your bank account. 🏦 3. Are u married? 👀 Lol 😆. Just joking. Super Expensive setup I see their. Very neat dedicated work. I love it.
man what an awesome tank and tech.. too much for me. i wonder how much time you spent putting all together including the programming. a dream set up for many of us.
I am hoping to copy your XR30 hanging technique using the Red Sea lighting pendant like you have done. Did you have to make any modifications to the pendant or could you just set the XR30s in the recessed area without any issue?
Amazingly clean setup! You’ve definitely mastered the apex to get the most use out it. Cable management second to none. Love the fish room sink area. I dream of a tank like this in my living room one day. Great work 👍
Can you share the xr30 lighting settings?
Can you share your xr30 settings with me?
Wow, spectacular build!!! Very nice!!!
I don’t want this set up. I NEED it Bravo
Wow dude your organization is AMAZING
Goals. Going to be purchasing the 525 g2 soon and going to use this as my template. Great work and well thought out
can you make a budget STARTER TANK
Post an update
That powder blue looks amazing

This is one of the best setups I've seen.
Amazingly clean setup! Also love the hardscape!
This setup is CRAZY. Dream tank.
Very nice setup!! 😎👍
What fans are you using by your lights?
I’ll pay you to make mine like this😂😂
Is your UV sterilizer plumped to go back into your sump from a pump? or is it going off of your return pump into your tank?
Wow 😮
Top!! Professional Reef Tank!!
An absolute perfect setup!
Amazing setup! Is the cabinet next to the tank custom? Or is that off the shelf?
Wow this set up is next level
What’s the model of the dell monitor? Can’t seem to find a suitable one for a similar project 😊

@@blakeq2006 that was some serious investment in time and money for 2 months. Surely it wasn't your first build?
@@dirtydogsanddiesel This was my second. I had a very simple 20 gallon almost 20 years ago in college.
@Blake Quinn Buddy my heart to out to you that you had to shut it down
I no it’s a long shoot but do you remember how you programmed the dose for the food?? Sorry to hear you shut it down thou

The tank was shut down a little over a year ago. Actually right after I posted the video.

Brilliant setup. The emergency stop button has MrSaltwaterTank vibes 😁
WOW Amazing WOW
What brand is that frag tank? I need something exactly like that one.
Advanced acrylics in Anaheim. I don’t remember the dimensions.
How long have you been doing this? This is so impressive sir.

This is incredible. Thank you for sharing. My question is how did you get tubes out of a fridge to the dosed?
I drilled holes in the back of the refrigerator. I was very careful not to hit any of the refrigerant lines.
Any update on your setup?

Just used super strong double sided adhesive to hold the lights in. Fit in perfectly.
NEXT LEVEL !! wow
amazing tank. is there much you have to do with the electronics under the aquarium ? seems complicated for beginners xD subbed

More money than sense
I love this!
I asked my wife and minister of finance and she said i couldn't copy your system.
Where did you get the boards attached to the walls and the gray track
The boards came from Marine Depot. The cable management came from Amazon. I think you can just type cable tracks or something like that.
Damn dude! That setup is a BEAST!!
I'm going to go ahead and assume this guy doesn't have any kids.
That would be a correct assumption... unless you include the two cats.
@@blakeq2006 hahaha and if I didn’t have any kids sucking up all of my money, I’d strive for a set up like yours! Well done.
Now this is a setup how much was it for your tank and the utilities in your sump
Omg its a surgical grade aquarium !!
