Every time I fill my diesel tank (not the one on the heater but the one I use to purchase the fuel) I add a capful of Klean-flo diesel conditioner. I then shake to mix before filling my heater tank. The conditioner significantly reduces the smoke on start-up and the amount of soot produced by the system. For those who put their tanks outdoors, it also prevents the fuel from gelling in very cold weather..

Change the setting on the display to the voltage, I bet it's a voltage issue when the pump tries to send fuel. When you press ON you change to the voltage by pressing bottom left button 3 times. If it dips into the 11's it will throw E-08

They look lovely. Do you weigh them ? We weigh ours. The new girls lay small eggs, around 50g. The older birds lay large eggs around 70g. One of them laid an absolutely mahooosive egg of 119g. It was like a goose egg. Poor girl was walking bandy legged for a week !😯

It's not rocket science to include a bar that's long enough to reach the spare wheel in the toolkit, and to have a six sided fitting to fit any decent socket set. Why a 5 sided jobbie? WTF were they thinking ? Make it short enough to lose and have a stupid design so you can't use a common socket and have to buy a new crap piece of kit.

I'm going to buy one myself. It's good to know your experiences before doing so. Many thanks.

I opened up the air hole near the glow plug to 3mm, and trimmed the air inlet tube as short as possible . Start my heater on 25 degrees c then turn it down to 16deg after 15 min. Instant clean starts. Hope this helps.

I will need a mixer for when I start re-pointing the walls. I think some friends have got one that I might be able to borrow for a while. On the subject of changing tyres, over here if you have to change a tyre you can just change one, they have to be done in pairs. Tyres on the same axle must be the same make. I had to change one last week which was a bugger as like yours, there was plenty of tread left, maybe 20k miles which for the amount of miles I drive would be at least 3 years. Annoyingly it was a small hole in the sidewall so it couldn't be repaired. So 2 new tyres 150 euros, fitting and balancing 36 euros. 😡

Maintenance Monday eh ? I've had a f** k up Friday followed by a sod it Saturday, I'm hoping for a serene Sunday. I've still hot a few things to do to be ready for the arrival of 3 new chickens on Tuesday and I'm glad to see the bloody monsoon has stopped and we have a bit of sunshine.
