I’m Charlotte’s biographer and inherited her recording collection, her sheet music, and other musical materials, and can affirm she did a good deal of singing. This recording (which I have), composed for her by her husband Martin Broones, is one of several numbers in a West End show she starred in just before WWII. She did quite a bit of singing on film as well. She in fact had studied voice since her youth, hoping to have a career as vocalist.
