Bow is in such a good place right now*. (*bearing in mind this is just the beta and balance and other things could change). It’s been a blast playing with it and seeing my OG main in such a good spot ahead of our new adventure.

I guess for the first time ever, Andariel acknowledged the camera was on and I really do consider her the premiere Tormented boss build showcase choice. I’m very grateful for my resplendent spark.

I design my builds like I have the guts for HC, but I loathe permadeath mechanics. At some point stacking max life, hardened bones, undying, fortify, protector, cooldown reduction to hide in blood mist, please just let me live makes for a pretty tanky setup. Just for me to still get pasted by the Blood Maiden because there was too much visual chaos to see she marked me and the HC journey ends, lol. But the blood skills are super fun and practical for leveling.

@@LordVile9those gloves destroy all the corpses so you cant raise skeletons. If you want a blood surge build without minions that would work, but also then it will not need corpse explosion or corpse tendrils as much because barely any corpses around. I dont like those gloves 🫠 I thought I needed them and was happy when I got them today haha figured out quickly I couldnt raise my skeletons when they died/I died. Would have to make a build specifically for the crurors embrace gloves

Thank you very much for your support. It’s extremely inconvenient being tied to a war I don’t have the strength to fight anymore, but I’m still here, still me, and enjoy making walkthroughs and guides for less controversial games. I do still follow FFVII closely, but at this time to protect myself and my peace, I choose not to discuss either my personal life or the Compilation publicly. I have definitely considered tackling the Remake, because I do have so much to say about it…so it isn’t totally off the table, merely it’s not the right time yet. I ought to see how they choose to end it before I commit to hypothesizing in public.

Thank you for the heads up…he actually reached out to me for comment, but I have no interest in revisiting that era. It’s kind of you to warn me. But there is a certain beauty to social media today that didn’t exist back then: a block button and my liberal use of it! Thank you! I’d surrender the shield to another class if Blizzard would just help my poor skeleton posse. They weren’t good in pre-season (used them anyway), the malignant hearts were so busted in season one they could just be my emotional support skeletons…but considering the amount of your build that goes to them, they still need a lot of work for the general necromancer populace to want them around. I’m still hopeful, though. And having fun in the meantime.

@@crescentempress agreed summon necro should be a tanky safe build with tones of strong skeletons and other summons. A new class would be sick way before next year haha

Yeah, I got super paranoid after the Minato fiasco, so I only put pet cages at the base camp or the dev camp…the secret hotspring in Akikure Canyon, for example, or where I filmed my food guide on Natsukodachi Isle. And I put my paddle scoops tucked out of the way in narrow parts of the map that are definitely not a combat arena. My friend did not listen to my counsel and put a major installation at the edge of the rice field. Golden Tempest was not kind in his lesson on why that was an ill-advised construction site. 😂

Thank you so much for the encouragement. I’m a little overwhelmed that my tiny seven-year-old channel has gotten so much interest in something I’m nowhere near an expert in. And I feel self-conscious because I know minion necromancer is subpar at best. The kind words mean a lot.

No, it’s still a zero revives event. But they did nerf it a little bit to make it easier.

I'm a necro main that wasted 50 hours trying to make them work to the point where THEY are doing the damage and it isn't possible.

That’s a way to look at it, I suppose, but I consider the Ring of Mendeln, Cult Leader board, Deadraiser glyph and one of my aspect slots a sufficient contribution away from my own personal power to categorize it as a minion build. There are many other choices for all the above, after all. I always have minions accounted for, but it’s never been my goal to make them do most - let alone all - the damage. It’s simply the style I best enjoy.

i mean it still has minions you see ball lightning sorcs with fire and ice enchant and you cant tell them "this is not a ball lightning sorc it has blizzard and ice sword"

You don't have to have the decrepify on your bar because the pants make your minions apply the curse and you have instant cool down reduction and permanent bone storm. I also run black river sometimes with ranks of fueled by death on the amulet and it slaps pretty hard. Always blighted on the amulet, mathematically just pound for pound the best for the bonus.

Also the decrepify adds damage reduction and slows everything. You aren't really tanking until you get that extra 25% percent.

Thank you for your insight. I wasn’t aware the Blood Moon Breaches are specifically applying Decrepify…but that would immediately solve so many of the issues I’m having getting something to work. If I can get that consistently and just get better about keeping the chain going from the Lidless Wall, that would probably help a lot.

He doesn’t have a lot of openings, for sure. At the minimum I’d give the fireworks a try to create some time for you to attack…and the celestial anchor to hop out of the way of his attacks is a life saver. Good luck!

You’re probably right. I guess I just didn’t have a ton of confidence in my first build to think other people might seriously want to give it a try. But just in case that would make it easier.

Yeah, I’m still not happy with what’s going on. I don’t know if I’m disillusioned from the OP barber heart from S1, or just haven’t found a minion build that really hits right, but be assured I’m still iterating on it. Feel free to let me know if you’ve seen a minion build floating around that you think will get the job done! I’m going batty trying to land on something appropriate with just days before the Abattoir. As long as there’s space for my “emotional support skeletons,” I’m down to give anything a try.

its not all about how much you can hit for, my blood lance necro only hits for 3 million or so when i have my tanky stuff on but i can still complete a tier 9 AoZ and face tank and beat a t100 butcher without using blood mist.

Disagreed. Season 2 d4 is way better. If you only played until lvl 14 you haven't even played d4...

Not everyone wants a game that you have to invest thousands of hrs to try and find the perfect loot combo. Some just want a basic hack and slash to kill a couple mindless hrs to wind down from the day. I don't want a career game. I want something to entertain me for a few hrs to escape the world.

@@curveofsound I like d2r too much and its too hard to play ranged with on d4 with a controller I played all 5 classes druid werebear wasn't bad. The sorc for me was hard af the dodge button sucks too.

D4 is casual.. grind if you want. You don’t HAVE to keep up with it, only to enjoy the seasonal content. If not, stick to eternal and play at your own pace 🤷‍♂️ if you had trouble leveling to lvl 14.. means you probably didn’t have anyone to play with lol

I may not, but my fail this video doesn’t convince me. I’m more of a cozy gamer in general, happy in to 60 - 70 tier. These are the hardest dungeons I’ve ever done solo, so I need to try a 100 a few more times to be convinced this just won’t work. If worse comes to worse, P4wnyHof’s new minion build is an option. I was just poking around to see if I could make something of my own.

@@crescentempress yeah you could try testing your build at tier 100 NM, but there are many information regarding how is going to be on abattoir of zyr one of them is monsters are higher level then tier 100 NM. there are already builds for that event, definitely will find something for your taste .

Yeah, I’m aware the minions are STILL not in a good place…I keep hoping the devs will rework them or boost them enough for minion builds to be “competitive.” The thing is, if I didn’t want the “perks” of being a necromancer, I’d just be a sorceress. And, I’m not really competing against anyone or trying to have some click-baity “New Best Necro Build,” video. I play and make my choices around what makes me happy…which is minions in this case. I may toy with other things going forward, but for now, I’m just looking for a happy medium between what brings me joy and clearing the endgame.

Yeah, they’re for sure emotional support skeletons right now, existing just to make me happy. But to be fair, the minions were emotional support skeletons in S1 too, with the broken barber heart builds. That’s why I was asking for ideas to boost them. I’d kill for a third ring slot to run the Ring of Mendeln too. I’d love to eek the Cult Leader board in…SOMETHING to make my buddies a little more useful, because I’m bound and determined to make a minion build work. Still iterating on it…hopefully I’ll figure something else out soon.

Yeah, this build was really fun, but I know I need more DPS before the Abattoir of Zir. I’m putting together a shadow build as we speak I’m going to ask for some feedback on, but I’m pretty happy with how it’s shaping up. I popped into the Fields of Hatred for my tree bounties yesterday…and actually got attacked. I figured it was a losing battle and tried to run…ended up getting my kill for the season journey because *something* in my setup just automatically killed the guy even though I was actively running away. I’ll be grateful for some feedback, though.

Also I'm pushing tier 60s...trying to get perfect gear and push higher. But it's where I'm comfortable right now with my low health. I can't find health stats XD

I’d be interested to try them! I’ve used cold and shadow before…after shooting this I’ve been kicking around a DOT build I’m going to ask for some feedback on. This season I’m finding myself much more eager to poke at the limits of what a minion necromancer can do. I had a broken barber heart build last season…this season I’m having fun playing around, especially ahead of the Abattoir of Zir. I somehow doubt I’ll recapture that busted power from S1, but so long as I can dish out the damage and keep the posse I’ll be happy. I’ve also never done anything with bone spirit. So, I’m totally open to suggestions. Thanks!

Hi! On average the crit + overpower hits for between 600k and 2mil, and the Mendeln hits between 50k and 200k. The build isn’t really about big damage and boss deletion…because minion necromancer is pretty weak compared to the meta for necromancer. I just have a deep love for the minion play style and wanted to talk about how you can make it work for endgame things. But, since this is my first video I didn’t think to use the training dummies and I’m still fine-tuning my presentation. Thanks for your feedback! In the future I’ll be sure to use the training dummies and talk about the DPS output in the video.

Almost like I’ve killed 200+ of them asking, begging, pleading for a halfway decent talisman, but all he’s got is two-pointed attack talismans with kemono skills for this human-path bow, so if I happen to need a punching bag to show off a new weapon skill he’s a good one to have on deck. From the worst of the OG four, to more appealing to bully than the local rodent, all because he’s mean and stingy.
