@@spicypesto Thanks so much for watching! This is going to be a fairly long-running series I think, but SkyBlock is pretty grindy, so Episodes are going to be about once a month. If you need something to watch in the meantime, you can catch Mermaid and I both in Oatmeal SMP videos on a weekly basis. 🙂

I imagine you put it up high to flow down instead of horizontally? I doubt we mess with it at this point, though, lol.
@ajessgames The water just needs to be redirected to flow downwards at least one block away from the lava. Alternatively, you can waterlog stairs that have the high side facing the lava ,as this prevents the water from flowing in that direction. Just remember to make sure you leave a one block gap between the lava source block and the waterlogged block and you'll be fine :)

Dude, I have five kids as well and I teach a flipped High School Physics class, which means I record video lectures that they watch at home and then we do experiments and problems in class. I always end up recording the lectures at like 1 am because that's when all my kids are asleep. All of that to say, I feel your pain, lol. ❤❤❤
On another note, I've been watching your videos saying to myself, "I couldn't do this because I have five kids." So your comment at the beginning of this video nearly made me laugh out loud. 😂😂😂
I started out with that mentality, but I found that I quickly got good at muting and unmuting and also editing out anything that slipped through. Haha. Now I usually have at least one or two sitting next to me doing homework while I record. Thanks so much for watching and for commenting! ❤️

@@JosiahSamuel-zc7nu Yes! I always mine with silk touch. It saves inventory space, and then you can mine them with fortune 3 when you get home and have sooo many diamonds. 😉
