You have the link to that k tuned pulley ??
Bro I have a 88 merkur I need help making this engine like yours but I have no knowledge about this cars helppppppp
very helpful video. im using a type r ecu, and also using an accord transmission. for the vehicle speed sensor do i still pin it from c101 to b11 since i don’t have kpro. or do i pin it to a different one? will it still work? sorry i have no clue how to do any of this wiring stuff and just watching your video to build the harness i got for cheap
i saw somewhere online where someone said repin to b7 if using a type s ecu. would you be able to help? :)
<3 <3 <3
I just installed my K tuner fuel rail on my rsx. Do I need a fuel pressure regulator? It didn’t come with it
Wondering the same thing.
So if that pin gets pinched when in the locked position the oil pressure probably would not be sufficient to push the pin with extra torque pinching it 🤯
There is no pinching
Great video, can you make a video showing vacuum set ups, both Na and boosted ?
Best video yet. Imo
When using teflon tape, wrap 3-4 times and in the direction that the nut will be tightened. If you wrap this direction then the tape will unwrap as the fitting is tightened and it WILL leak at some point
In a return-less fuel system generally the fuel pump is pulse width modulated. This means that the fuel pump is turned on only when needed. Generally you want a return system to operate when the engine is running only, but run all the time with the engine running. This will require an external fuel pressure sensor to be added to the system.
I have a question. I bought a new VTC (phaser) which arrived unlocked. I attached it to the cam using blocks on the floor and torques it to 83 foot lbs. I then installed it in the engine with all timing marks perfectly aligned (timing cover off). Can I leave the cam VTC in the unlocked position and start the engine, or do I have to lock it first? A shop on youtube said to rotate the cam with a wrench to lock it but when I tried that the gears and chain started to rotate without locking. I'm totally confused and I don't want the valves to hit the pistons. Can you help me?
If you rotate it with the cam then the chain stays in place. If your chain is moving then the actuator is locked or you are rotating the cam in the wrong direction
Just asking k24a jdm the cam is 50vtc already or 25
Hi brother i have k24a then the tranny is from frv which axle i need
Hi what is your ecu running
Hi, I have a 2005 Honda Accord, K24A4 engine. Does it support a 45 degree VVT? And how much HP will it give approximately?
How many miles you called low?
Dude, fantastic way to break it down with excellent graphics to keep it simple! Subscribed!
What fan did you use I’m installing a kit similar to the one you are using on a 94 del sol ?? And how much did you pay for it
Is the VTC gear mechanical?Only meaning has to be adjusted manually.Delete , I have never messed with one,,,,?
Did you end up finding the battery issue? My 81 t top 2.3 turbo swapped mustang has the same issue. Kills batteries within a week.
Since you are chumgimg the water pump.housing and alternator can you still.use the jdm.idler pulley and power.sterr? Or.chamge them
What’s the brand of the tool you used to crimp the hose fittings?
Amazon special: www.amazon.com/Hydraulic-Hydra-Krimp-Conditioning-Handheld-Conditioner/dp/B07VM95758 Worked great.
Hello, is this a K24 JDM model?
yes
Thank you for this video man!!!! I just purchased a JDM K24 for my S2000
LITERALLY READING THE SERVICE MANUAL: 15. Apply new engine oil to the threads of the VTC actuator and the exhaust camshaft sprocket mounting bolts, then loosely install them. 16. Turn the VTC actuator clockwise until you hear it click. Make sure to lock the VTC actuator by turning it. 17. Remove the wire tie while keeping light tension on the cam chain. 18. Slide the intake and exhaust camshafts in at an angle to allow the cam chain to slip over the VTC actuator’s teeth and the exhaust sprocket's teeth. 19. Line up the marks made in step 3 for each cam. 20. Apply new engine oil to the camshaft journals and lobes on both cams, and reinstall the five camshaft holders and cam chain guide B in place. 21. Tighten the camshaft holder bolts to the specified torque. 22. Hold the camshaft with an open-end wrench, then tighten the bolts. Specified Torque VTC Actuator Mounting Bolt: 12 x 1.25 mm 113 N·m (11.5 kgf·m, 83 lbf·ft) Exhaust Camshaft Sprocket Mounting Bolt: 10 x 1.25 mm 72 N·m (7.3 kgf·m, 53 lbf·ft) LIKE... BRO I CANT EVEN. EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON RUclips, OR THAT IVE TALKED TOO SAYS TORQUE IT DOWN WHILES ITS UNLOCKED.... THE SERVICE MANUAL FROM HONDA SAYS YOU MUST LOCK IT BEFORE TORQUING IT DOWN. WHICH IS IT?!?!?
1. Install the VTC actuator and exhaust camshaft sprocket. NOTE: Install the VTC actuator in the unlock position. 2. Apply engine oil to the threads of the VTC actuator mounting bolt and exhaust camshaft mounting bolt, then install them. - From hondas own manual bro just do it
I felt the same way, lots of mixed signals. That's why I took it apart and made this video. After making this video and talking to a lot of people in the comments I have concluded: If you are holding the cam teeth while tightening make sure its unlocked because this technique will put a lot of pressure on the small metal plunger if locked. If you are holding the camshaft itself when tightening then you should be fine with it locked since this technique puts no pressure on the metal plunger.
The connection is only for k pro or hondata can it connect with oem ecu? For the a/c to work?
yea OEM ecu will work if you hook up the right pins.
With the K20A oil pump 45vtc gear do you just time the engine as manufacturers spec
Yep 👍
Good job bro 👍
How much did you spend on the swap? , and how hard was it to install AC on it.
AC was easy. Swap was around 10K I would estimate. This was not a budget swap. I got new hasport axles, k-tuned fuel kit, and many more unnecessary expensive parts. The 45 deg VTC, USDM alternator conversion and k20a2 oil pump add a lot to the swap as well.
Wish I saw this sooner

Where did you get the crash bar? nice video
If u look at the RZA and R40 VTC they’re different. Could I use the R40 VTC on my RZA? Better yet is there anyone who will machine these VTCs? I’d like a little more advance and retard TBH. I need to find the info of how much advance and retard these VTCs have. Anyone have any info? I’m new to K24s.
I know that drag cartel modifies them. That's where I got mine: dragcartel.com/products/modified-vtc-cam-gear
Whats the part number to the flywheel bolts?
90011-PNA-B00
had a 93 coupe, 2.3T swapped-almost identically done. FUN car. not very fast, but certainly a ton of fun.
That about sums it up, reliable car too.
I put a flex fuel kit on my stock 2002 Mustang GT. It ran fine for several days on 44% ethanol content but the day that I refilled the tank I got 61% ethanol content (a mix between 44% and 85% which would make it around 61%) and the car died. This is less than a week after I put in the kit. Turns out that it killed my fuel pump (or was it coincidence?) and I have to replace it. The manufacturer and another youtuber said that neither the fuel pump nor the fuel injectors need to be upgraded from stock. Anyway, I ordered a fuel pump certified for E85 only to find out that the fuel pump housing for the bad pump was of poor design where you have to remove a small hose to get access to the fuel pump. Which caused another problem because I ended up destroying the small hose and can't find a replacement that is SAE 30R10 anywhere. The corrugated hose fits onto an 1/8 inch OD port on each end of the assembly. So, I have to order a complete assembly with a fuel pump pre-installed because you can't get just the housing from any manufacturer. You might not be able to specify an E85 compatible fuel pump either. I'm not a happy junior mechanic right now.
LMR has some options with an upgraded pump installed such as: lmr.com/item/LRS-9350E/1998-04-Mustang-255-Lph-Walbro-Gss342-Fuel-Pump
Definitely not a car from the valley
Is that fan pushing air into the condenser or pulling?
You had to cut the driveshaft, yes?. Have 2 84 gt t 2.3t's, had one all my life. A pretty cool and popular swap, keep info out to others.
Very cool car ! I love these old mustangs! I had one of the 1979 turbo 2.3 and it had no intercooler so the power just wasn’t that good but it was as powerful as the V8 of the same year .
Does anyone know how would i go in tuning my ECU im new to this thanks in advance
Find a tuner or check out HP Academy to learn how to do it yourself.
I made my 2022 Prius into a flex fuel vehicle, but there was/is no real benefits. Just something I wanted to do for years. I do put E85 into my 3.6l v6 engine my flex fuel minivan has for maximum power. (My priuss are 120 hp combined, ford is 170 hp, but my minivan is 260)
The hp?

Great vid bro! Do you have a way to contact you? Email, IG? I have a few questions on FPR.

@@e-dod What’s up man. I have a question on FPRs. I have a Weldon А2040 - 281-А- 15 which the spring psi is 3-15psi. My car is NA right now… is that enough for turbo set up or should I go with higher psi spring?
I think I installed mine locked and when I went to start the car heard a weird noise think it caused it
Did you hold the cam with a wrench when you torqued it down? If you held the cam you should be good even if it was locked. After discussing with some others in the comments here we came to the conclusion that its only risky if you hold the teeth of the gear and torque it down in the locked position.
@@e-dod He dropped a socket in the engine
how much freon did you add ?
about 1.5 cans.
Do you know what year this motor was? Do the new 06-08 have this installed already?
No, 06-08 TSX engine still has 25 deg.
