To warm up, I like to take a difficult part of a piece and play it slowly. Slowly and expressively. Love each note!

Great way to challenge kids...and adults 😊
I hope so! I will offer it as a challenge for all my students this summer. :)
💐💐💐 great, thank you🌺
You are so welcome!
Keep the tips coming, Jo Ann.. Am a old veteran, struggling to learn. Like your time efficient short clips. Helpful.
Thanks for the feedback and hope you're enjoying your piano studies. :)
Speaks to me very much! I picture dark and quiet ocean. I like isolated feeling of the piece.
Thank you, Tamaki! I appreciate your comments. Like Arthur's masterclass.... :) ❤️
Beautifully played, thank you for your wonderful interpretation!
Thank you very much!
Welcome and hope you enjoy the performance!
Best when chords or keynotes are NAMED by LETTERS 🔤🔠 when playing.. NOT all viewers know what is played UNLESS explained well by good details! 🩸💯💯🩸😅
Good point. The lesson was meant for students who have experience playing triads but need help in keeping a relaxed hand position. Will keep in mind that someone less experienced may be interested in watching the lesson as well. Thanks for watching. :)
Very nice! Thank you!
You're very welcome!
What an excellent suggestion. And how warmly and kindly presented. Wishing you a good day & week ahead as well.
Thank you! You too!
Great tip❤
Thank you!! Glad it was helpful. :)
Thanks for the tip!
You bet! Thanks for watching!
Such cute little grumbles!
I love this goober with all my heart
Wow I love him so much
Reminds me of my old lab, except he was an anti retriever,he took things away!
Hahaha 😂
Amazing. One of the first things I played on the guitar (And one of the last classical pieces before I switched to electric) and this works so well on piano! Great interpretation as well!
Thank you very much! It's a great piece... I had fun coming up with this arrangement. :)
My yellow lab used to growl at me just like this while trying to get me to play tug of war. I'd always joke she was a scary wolf at heart.
This will be one of the videos which will be blowing up after 10 years
Beautiful pup :)
What a beautiful dog 🐕 ❤
I just got a huskadur puppy, He is 1-year-old and I am teaching him to fetch. He's very smart and my best friend. I can tell you are a good owner. Your dog is lucky to have you.
😊❤❤
Thank you! We adopted him from the Victoria Humane Society. We think he's gorgeous! ❤️
Thank you! We are lucky to have him. ❤️ Enjoy your puppy!!

Teacher is too fast, if can slow a bit can see clearly thank you
Noted!
This is helpful. Doesn't hurt that it looks fun AND sounds cool. Headed to the piano 🎉
Have fun! And I'm glad it was helpful!
Good tip! Thanks!
You bet!
Ur dog is so cute 😊
He's a good boy!
ur so good at the piano :D
Thank you!
Likey!
It's a fun piece!
Congrats on the 25th anniversery -- I haven't had a recitol since I was a pre-teen. I think I was more nervous to perform back then mostly because I didn't like or choose the songs that my aunt (My piano teacher) gave to me. Now that I've been playing for ten years, I know what I like to play.
That's great. Yes, if you actually like what you're playing, you'll be more eager to share it with others. :)
Good boy Beans!! love you so much from Japan!
😂 frozen broccoli is the worst. Fresh is the best.
It’s “aight”
she or he is adorable 😊
Bean is a he!
Ole! 😂
Haha... totally olé worthy!! :)
Jo Ann, this is incredibly beautiful. I wish I could compose an extended piece that could hold the listener's attention like this does. I love the sad and pain-filled dissonances and the dramatic drive towards the ending. Congratulations, It is fantastic!
Oh my goodness... thank YOU so much for your encouragement. I only compose for myself... therapy. :) So such wonderful comments from a REAL composer really means a lot. Thank you again! ❤
Adorable 😂😂😂😂😂
