Some people kept their feet dry, some went barefoot and some fell in and got soaked but all had a wonderful ...

Wow what a happy accident to come across such inspirational and generous women quilters!! I loved meeting each of these wonderful ladies and learning about the charities they serve! Thanks for this lovely post♥️♥️♥️
А мы дома все по одной занимаемся пэчворком и рукоделием . Приятно видеть красивых дам занимающихся прекрасным рукоделием в кругу подруг .Спасибо за показ. Приятные работы.
thank you for doing this. It really touched my heart at how these ladies are contributing their time, energy and money for the many deserving charities. I am also a quilter and my work is for charities. Nice to see what others are doing. I have donated to local food banks, Project Linus that focuses on traumatized children and also for group homes where homeless are allocated a room that is their home.
Thank you so much much for this inspirational look into Frazier Valley Quilters Guild retreat. The ladies and their quilts were wonderful. They are a so talented. Best wishes from a quilter in Fife, Scotland. May you continue your good work for many years to come!
Hello Scotland! How wonderful our little story found its way to you. The internet can be a wonderful thing. Hope you are subscribed as my next story comes out in February. Merry Christmas.
I also belong to a quilt guild in Southern California. I’ve become passionate about making philanthropy quilts. Love it and all the people that are involved. Great presentation. Thanks
Hi California. We are all astonished this story has been seen around the world and viewed 34,000 times. Thanks for doing your part in quilting and charity giving.
Love it!!!! and love my Featherweight sewing machine too. Loved the lady you interviewed who had the Featherweight. She was a jewel😊Great video. I’m inspired to find a charity or organization to donate lap quilts to. Thank you!
Quilts originally are Arabic, made by men for other men! It was a funeral shroud for the after life! They are still made today for the same purpose.
I’ve just passed a cot quilt my mother made for her grandchild on to her first great grandchild to be, sadly my mother recently died so doing this I’ve managed to give a present from great grandmother.
OMG! I LOVE the I spy/match game quilt, that is just PURE GENIUS! Thank you so much for the video. ❤ "Family runs in the other direction when I say 'quitl"!!!! HaHaHa! I am in the same boat!
I loved that I Spy one too. Kids will love it! Thanks for sending your nice comment!
Lovely, lovely people, all of them! Especially love the lady with the 1935 sewing machine, so awesome!
Yes I really loved that old sewing machine too. Thanks for watching.
❤❤❤❤
I am a third generation quilter and I very much enjoyed this story. It is exciting to see quilters involved with their communities while engaging with a skill the truly enjoy. Thank you!!!
I enjoyed this sooo much! I am a quilter too and it was great meeting everyone. Thank you for introducing us to the quilters and showcasing all the lovely and inspiring handwork.
Thank you so much for your kind comment.
Watching from Hampshire, UK, where I belong to a local quilt group too! Really enjoyed this video...what amazing quilters! Thank you!
Well hello UK. I can't believe how far afield this little video has travelled. Hope you are subscribed - the next story will be out in February. Say hi to your quilters for me!
Oh, WOW! I want to work with them! The Quilt Angels' quilts resonate with me. My mom died at home, and a beautiful shroud would've been comforting when my mom's body was taken from the house. 😢 I work with Project Linus, and we have a energetic group, too!
So sorry to hear about your mom's passing. I agree, having a shroud like the ones the ladies make would be the best and most dignified way to honour a loved one. I too wish I had had one for both my mom and brother.
You sure know how to tell a story. One of the best ones I’ve seen online. I was a newspaper reporter, radio talk show producer/host and a TV production assistant. You’ve got talent. I’m a quilter and I enjoyed every interview. Keep telling stories.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment. We have a lot in common. I too worked in broadcasting for my career and now do stories I find interesting. My next one will be out in February so hope you are subscribed so you will see it. Are you still storytelling?
Wow, and I bumped into this channel. How inspiring. Semi retired nurse who used to work in NICU & PICU. I think I will start doing the same. 💕
What a wonderful organization . I love to quilt I will have to get started doing something for others. Cause love to make quilts but I can’t use them all. Great thing for me to get into. Thanks ladies, very inspiring I thank you all for sharing this and the quilts were just gorgeous
So nice to hear from you!
I don’t know how this appeared on my feed but was immediately interested as I have been a sewer and quilter too. What also caught my interest was the location HHS and Fraser Valley. I grew up in Richmond but live in the states now for over 50 years. My family remained in BC however so I got to visit frequently. The quilts were lovely and also the stories behind them. Lifted my spirits and encouraged me to finish a quilt I started many years ago. Thank you ladies!
Thank you
That was lovely, thank you. The ladies are doing wonderful work, so kind to be doing it for charity.
Hi, glad to find your channel, I love all the gorgeous quilts.
Glad you found us! I just discovered my next story so that will be out in February!
What a treat to view! Quilting brings many of us together. I loved seeing everyone's projects & where they were going. I belong to the Buchanan Prairie Quilters in Sask.
Just got back from visiting friends in Saskatchewan - south of North Battleford. I see winter has hit now. Say hi to your quilters for me!
WOW! Just came across your channel, those quilts are beautiful those ladies were working on and the ones that where had made! Great video would love to make a quilts for each of my granddaughters! I lived outside of Chilliwack B.C. I Enjoy your video was very interesting and beautiful! Thank you for sharing Liz 😊 just Subscribed to your channel!
So glad you found us. My next story comes out in February and you will see it since you subscribed. The ladies are shocked their story has now been seen 34,000 times around the world. Amazing.
That Singer sewing machine was stolen from my mum in 1950"s and found in the veld in or near Jo'burg and she was still sewing on it and made clothes for herself and me etc in 1973 when she traded it in for a Bernina and been with that brand even since mum passed in 2016 at 90 odd years old. ❤ From South Africa on 11.11.2024
Well hello South Africa. We are all astounded our little video has gone around the world and has been seen 34,000 times. You are so kind to take the time to let us know where you are watching from
Thank you
Thank you for making and donating quilts! Having grandbabies; twin preemies; I love your care and selflessness and the fact you are using your talents for good! God bless you all!
Wonderful stories, you have a very good interview style. Thank you.
Thank you so much for watching and your kind compliment. Hope you are subscribed as my next story will be out in February,
Awesome, Hi Carol! Beautiful work! 🌺🌸🤗
Not sure why this popped up on my RUclips screen but so happy it did! What a lovely piece on people who find community in quilting. It's a particularly nice presentation because it's new to you so you ask great questions. Not many outside quilting know about the charitable work. For non-quilters I recommend you search for quilt shows in your area and where you can see their work and often buy finished items. And donate cotton fabric if you stopped sewing or know someone who stopped, for the charity quilts.
Thank you so much for taking the time to send a comment. I sure admired these ladies and all who do good charitable works!
I am in Northern BC and I find that when you have a hobby it is the enjoyment of making, but you can only personally use so many pieces whether it is quilts or knitting items or cross stitching, so what better way than giving them for gifts or charities...wonderful video.
Hi! I am a quilter from Chilliwack. I have just subscribed.
Hi thanks for watching and subscribing.. Now you will see my next story due out in February. Happy quilting!
Wonderful work, quilters are special people with huge hearts❤❤
Wonderful work, quilters are special people with huge hearts❤❤
Quilters are such generous and caring people. How sweet all these ladies are! What a wonderful video.
Ahhh thanks so much for the kind words.
Although I don’t donate through a specific organization, I do donate to our local NICU where our daughter is a nurse! I donate quilts and afghans! I create because I need to! Creating quilts and afghans definitely helps my mental health! I have a very complicated medical history and creating helps distract me from everything that is going on! I love being able to create something that will bring joy to others especially those going through a difficult time in their lives!😊
I live in the Fraser Valley up in Winter Park Colorado! This was like being at one of our quilt guild retreats! Beautiful quilts and interesting charities. Quilters are beautiful people!💕
Our 3 months early premmie received one of these quilts 20 years ago. It's still a treasured item that will be handed down. Bless each and every quilter in your guild. The baby quilts give love and support in parents' most desperate moments. Thank you.
Wonderful video! I’m newly retired , a quilter myself and looking forward to joining a group like this or making quilts for Project Linus. I really enjoy how you interviewed this group of amazing women.
Susan Einarsson, I remember you from when you lived in Harrison Hot Springs. This video is all kinds of de-ja-vous for me. HHS, you (211) the HHS hotel, and of course quilting & all that it encompasses. Great video you put together, thanks for that! I do hope you did get your sought after pumpkin pie?? xo e. N.B. 🇨🇦
Really? You remember me? I can't see your real name so forgive me for not knowing who you are. I would love to find out. Living in Harrison was one of the best times of my life.
What extraordinary ladies and their beautiful quilts! Thank you so much for this video - loved it! Diana (UK) xx
Wow😍 thank you especially from Maple Ridge!! I lived there 11 years age for for 20+ years.loved the quilt shops there then. Still quilting I’m now 89 . Recently doing a queen postage stamp quilt but 2 inch squares. Brings back memories especially Harrison. Wii keep watching! 🇨🇦
Oh I wish your video would get the e posture it deserves! These quilters are awesome!
Well much to the astonishment of us all, the quilting story has been seen an amazing 34,000 times - worldwide! So happy for our quilters.
This was so delightful and inspiring. What a wonderful group of ladies. I wish I wasn’t so very far away to join their guild. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. 💕
all quilters, around the world, are wonderful pppl, we all donate to charities....
Well thank you for a wonderful video with beautiful quilts. These wonderful ladies brought a smile to my face and heart. You did a wonderful job with videoing and interviewing. I am a very slow, newer quilter and the quilts I make are for charities also. And thanks for sharing such an uplifting video (I live south of the border amid the chaos) something we can use more of: learning about dynamite people who care and share. Cheers from Minnesota.
