Might I suggest a nice LED Red/Green Light at the top of your hangar so that you can tell when your hangar doors are open/closed. For quick visual reference when your looking down from your control room.

Should have built a room around the vending machine with a door and vent. vacummed out the room with you in it. then you could have transfered the ice to your minning belt just as slow as you wanted. But I liked the boom boom though :)
Its possible that your vent controller is malfunctioning because it still has the old vent selected (still red). Failing that, removal of the chip and then screwdriving the chip should reset it, making a reload attempt unnecessary.
So I tried to do that a few times the last time it happened and it still showed in red so im not sure.
Thinking of your pipe layout. Instead of having frames above the corridor, could you not encase that area in walls and run the pipes through that open "corridor"?
The turbopumps are overkill for your filtration systems as they only have one piece of pipe (10L) to pull from. You can either replace them with regular pumps (and reduce noise), throttle them down to 10L (save 900W of power per, and reduce noise ), or slap a double inline tank on the single pipe between them and the filtration devices to make use of their full potential (and possibly damage your hearing).
Im going to mess around with it to find the best balance for the pump. I do agree that the turbo pumps are probably overkill lol
At 1:57:25 doesn't the elevator carry power? so you didn't need to run that cable.

I'm pretty sure if you give the IC chip the device ID, rather than it's prefab hash (which would be any solar sensor, or grow light etc. in this case) you don't need to assign one of the housing pins to the device you want anymore. Which dramatically expands the usefulness of a single housing Someone correct me if I'm wrong
The problem I had with gasses to/from the traders on Venus was that the trade station buildings weren't insulated themselves. So insulated piping didn't help me. I'll be interested to see if this is still the case. Commenting before the end of the video.. lol
When you do something, for example setting up the air conditioners. Rather than saying "yeah that could work" can you explain why it should work? Lots of little instances like that 😅 Otherwise pretty cool to see played out.

Looking good Lenno. Only just started watching this playthrough but looking forward to it. I would love to see you start coding though. You've mentioned you have wanted to do it for a few playthroughs now - it does make life so much easier when you get the hang of it.

Pro tip if you wanna beatuify your place if u have trees or shrubs in your roads you can place a small plant decoration on it to delete them then u can just delete the plant.

The colored version of the chip for tablet, does let you differentiate between many of the ores/ices

you should place the computer under the Dials so you can see the satellite computer while your adjusting the controls.

In my first playthrough on mars I wired up turbines like you did. A few hours in a storm came and busted several cables. Perhaps you plamned for that, but I was curious why you didn't prioritize updating power cables on the supply side. Other than that this was an impressive start. New sub.
What are your thoughts on this compared to Space Engineers? If you have played both. I only ask because they seem very similar, i am speaking as someone who is just learning about Stationeers recently.
@@logdog998 so I have played a little bit of space engineers but not very much of it! I do know that Stationeers is quite a bit more complex though.

Love the content but just an fyi regarding storms. In your jetpack you can toggle up the pressure of the nozzles (all the way too 200 thrust on a hardsuit), you won't be able to hover as you'll drift but it's strong enough to counter the winds during flight.

yes there is a way to automate the furnace with logic to make not just steel but any alloy
Your Powered Vents should be spread out more. They have an area of effect that takes times to occurr. If you spread them out further in your LARGE hanger they will work more effective then just adding more.

The purge valve tries to remove all gasses from the pipe while the pipe is open to the atmosphere via the drain... I think these can't be used together... In my experience using the drain alone works quite well. Keeps the water from evaporating. But when there's pollutants getting in, the bottle fillers and drinking fountains will throw an error. (edit) Pumping the gas out of a water pipe makes room for the water to evaporate and because of the phase change it cools down til it freezes.

I've never had much use for the "drain", I hate that it pulls gases into the liquid system. I prefer to use the drainvalve, as that only allows liquid trough.

I believe the reason the dial is giving you an issue is you have the logic reversed. You should be reading the dial and writing to the vents...Nash

Hi, there is an chip as the Power Control, but it is called Mode Control, with it you can control the mode of the powered vents and left out the i/o logic chips. Heating the hangar with the furnace can work but for one use, when you open the hangar doors it gets cooler again, so it is not a long place solution, maybe if your oxigen is hot, the hangar gets more heat when you release the oxigen into the closed hangar
So I will not open the hangar doors until the heated oxygen is in the tanks. Thanks for the tip on Mode Control!
@@lenno56 Sometimes when I am removing all the gas from the hangar, the temperature gets closer and closer to 0 degrees Celsius, you can try to see if by removing all the gas that -146 degrees Celsius becomes 0, so you don't have to heat that oxygen much. , or maybe even when you release the oxygen the hangar adopts the temperature of the oxygen, so you could keep the oxygen at 20 degrees

Hi, about traders, the max height that I found was a 5blocks high trader. And into your hangar, the doors dont need power to close and open, for some reason the power is just to turn on the hangar door light.

Im honsetly not sure. I have been wondering that myself. Since you can build that large hangar doors horizontal I imagine you can have the bigger ships land in the hangar itself, but Im not sure.
you should build a seperate room for your mushroom/ cO2 farm and have the ic set differently to keep them in proper light conditions

I upgraded my printers with some IC functionality to print a set number of a recipe (set with a stacker: both quantity and recipe). I used the new stack feature of the printers. There is actually an instruction to print a given number of a recipe. When some ingredient runs out the printer waits for the refill and once that's supplied it continues the job. Really worth the effort.
I'm going to mess around with it because that would be alot easier!
One small silver lining to brutal is very little stuff to move around and organize. Build only the minimal things you need to survive. By day 40-50, you can start to relax.
Brutal is definitely doable, but you have to go ULTRA minimslist. NEVER go outside during day, live in a 1x1 space just charging batteries (via swapping) for several days until you can get a vaccum work area, hydroponics rush is necessary to generate your oxygen, trader rush can come second to extend oxygen use - as traders are RNG based, you risk your entire playthrough if you do trader before hydroponics - ultra low power setup so you never need heavy cable - and if you do everything perfectly, you can get up to 80 potato plants going to give you the oxygen you need to become self sufficient and not ever need a trader - but a handful of mistakes (priority errors or wasted projects and time) is more than enough to kill you. You should not stream your first vulcan brutal - you WILL die many times getting your priority list correct and realize actions you do which slowed you down getting your way to full cool water production.
Just in cases you don't know but please take with a grain of salt because I'm not 100 percent sure. But I believe the chutes are insulated while window chutes are not insulated.
I will have to test this out to see if it is true.

@@bmanfifteenthousand5376 So I could have done that but, all of the gas in the room would have went straight into my oxygen line and polluted it. That is why I vented it all into my waste line so it would get filtered again.

U had a great start built a good army got trade going and gathered wealth from raiding camps quickly. But ur not paying attention to little details u lost plenty archers at first that could have been avoided by placing them behind. Ur retinue was on run orders so they gathered fatigue. Etc The icon on manor is probably the families living there. U didn’t need so much troops to clear bandit camps cus their just 16 men strong that was hurting ur man power in the village in early game. U didn’t build enuff wells even after the fire. U destroyed four buildings with veggie dats 60 coins. U didn’t pull a family from the church after burial of the 1 person in the fire.
Haven't tried standard for Vulcan yet but have been playing brutal mode and from what I see its like "Standard" is living in a high dollar resort and "Brutal" is stuck in the middle of Death Valley

Put water fountain in your base instead of water bottle fillers. you benefit more from the fountain.

As far as why your lights didn't work, the way you were expecting is because the chip runs line by line in the code. So, because you have two sensors, it first reads the first sensor and sees that it is active. So, turns on the lights. Then it gets down to the second sensor and reads it a deactivated. So, then it turns the lights off and then repeats in an endless cycle.

Wow, how detailed is this game. Can you get more electrical power by placing windmills close to gas emitting industry, so that the emissions cause the windmill to rotate faster?
No you can’t do that to get more power. However that is a great idea to potentially implement! Maybe they will put that into the game someday.
